Ristorante Bartolotta dal 1993

"I think this is one of those restaurants where you might come once but probably won't return. The atmosphere is nice and shooting for romantic but honestly the chairs are not comfortable at all. The food is probably the most disappointing. It is a 4 course meal and you get to choose from 3-5 choices for each course and a couple of them will be for extra charge. That would be fine but honestly for the price, quantity, and choices i really didn't think it was worth it. You can definitely get better food for the same price you would pay here. For the anti pasta we tried the Carne Salada Alla Trentina and Polenta Di Mais E Patate Con Ciuiga Del Banale E Formaggio Di Malga Trentino (yes, the names are long). The shaved beef was really good and we enjoyed it but the sausage was horrendous; it was burnt and just sad. For the primi we went with Rufioi Mocheni Con Burro Fuso E Salvia and Strangolapreti Agli Spinaci Con Crema Di Formaggi Dolci D’Alpeggio. The ravioli was good but not phenomenal and the gnocchi was really not great. I actually probably didn't like the gnocchi the most out of the courses we had. For the Secondi, we got the Puntine Di Maiale Con Cavolo Rosso In Agrodolce and Guancette Di Vitello Al Teroldego Con “Oro Rosso Di Storo” Polenta. These two we liked but were on the fatty side. The ribs were deff on the burnt side but the veal was cooked really well. Finally the desserts, we went with Strudel Di Mela Con Gelato Alla Cannella and Budino Di Mou Salato. The strudel was ok but the pudding was a killer. I really liked it and would happily go back if i can just get that :)"

"The food was great. The seating was too tight. We felt like we could not talk comfortably without the others around us hearing. I could not relax and enjoy the meal."

"The dining experience here is not worth the price whatsoever. We were excited to try this place and were interested in the three course menu! Sad to say, the food fell very short of our expectations. The bread was brought out cold (apparently this is Italian tradition but I’ve never heard of this). The pasta dish was tasty but the presentation was elementary and looked sloppily put together. Finally the main course, the lauded Os Bus, was overcooked and very difficult to chew. The best part of this experience was the tiramisu. Nothing to write home about but was middle of the line tiramisu. The mocktail drink I got tasted like cranberry juice. Overall would give this place a 5/10. Definitely not worth the $200 bill that we had."

"Ristorante Bartollotta was fantastic. My wife and I went for a 6:45 dinner reservation that we were able to make same day on a Saturday morning. The restaurant itself has a cozy atmosphere though was a little loud but not obnoxious by any means. The service was great from the second we walked in. The four course tasting menu was the perfect amount of food. Everything was fantastic especially the meat filled ravioli which was very rich and flavorful. My wife has a dairy allergy and was able to be accommodated which is fantastic. The server recommended a glass of wine based on the types I normally drink and I was very happy with their recommendation. To top it off, the flour less chocolate cake and latte were both delicious. This isn't a cheap experience but between the service and food, I'd recommend it. They change their menu up fairly frequently so I will keep my eye out for the new items they come up with"

"Visited during the Palermo region menu. All of the food was fantastic. Service was a hit jagged. Very slow start and delivery of courses was not timed well. However we were looking for a relaxing meal and were in no rush and enjoyed not being rushed to make way. Octopus was outstanding but again all tasted fantastic. Also had seafood cone, pork ragu and swordfish pasta dishes, mixed grill, flourless chocolate cake and caramel pudding"
