"This place is my personal hell and I am here to list a few reasons why! Broken bed frame when moved in (legit have it ducked tape so I don’t fall down in the middle of the night) Dryer handle broken and all my stuff got stuck inside until brought a new one (yes I tried to pry it open it didn’t work) Paid for out of house living the first two weeks so the apartment could be cleaned and get here and it has not been touched by anyone since the last tenants Walked in to my trash everywhere come to find out there’s a groundhog in my living room Cold water for 2 months Black mold coming out of shower drain over break Scary man from broke in and had to call police because there is no security here or any way to get in touch with any Lighting is horrific (there is none) it’s like it in a cave Roaches galore Fire alarm chirping on more than one occasion Mold filled underneath sink Tested the humidity levels and they are beyond horrible Only good thing is the maintenance man love that guy!"
"No WiFi for lengthy periods of time including finals week. Homeless people were mugging students in the stairwell around Christmastime. Absurd charges months after I’ve moved out. Lost 4 of my packages with no reimbursement. Flooding during rain on the lower floors. And all for a $1000 a month."
"I highly commend Kayla C and the maintenance crew for quickly resolving a problem I brought before them. Kayla immediately understood the situation and took steps to get it fixed. It would have been easy for her to delay the work until another time but she and the staff got right to it. I'm impressed by this level of responsiveness and thank The Standard for having these professionals on board."
"If I could give this place a -0 star, I would. All I can say is BEWARE!!! The Standard Management and Landmark Properties should be ashamed how they operate this apartment complex. Don’t know where to begin with the negative reviews. 1. Roach infested (google and watch news clips) 2. Absolutely filthy upon move in and they could care less. 3. The smell of trash on the bottom floor where pool is located is enough to make you vomit on the daily. 4. All Stainless steel is rusted because it is so humid and poor air quality 5. Hallways look like a jail with filth and run down upkeep. This list could go on and on. They over promise with a safe and acceptable place to live but this is far from the truth. If you want more poor reviews (good luck finding a positive one unless they are family) just look on Facebook UTK parent page. All I can say in run! They are crooks that don’t care about your kids. ADDITION TO POST 9/25/23: After receiving their generic response to my review, they still have NOT done anything to correct any problems or address issues. They just send a default response that you cannot reply to. Side note, I purchased a humid thermostat and the levels are anywhere from 72-76% humidity. This cannot be healthy to any human (or the many bugs that also live at the standard). FYI, safety in their apartment is an issue as well!!! Check out Society 865 apartments too, they are also owned by Landmark Apartments and they are a total waist of money and a dump. LANDMARK PROPERTIES SHOULD BE ASHAMED at the quality of living they provide these kids that pay over $1300 each a month. Landmark is so proud of their properties that they significantly increased rent for next year. Lol"
"We are very disappointed in the renewal process. We didn’t renew Asap (so we did not receive tier 1 pricing) even though we fully intended to renew. We’ve been there for 2 years with 3 other roommates. Now, we have to pay $500 more while another roommate does not since they renewed THE minute they opened the renewal process. This place is a predatory business that doesn’t care about roommates wanting to stay together for all their years of school. Pay more to stay is their policy."
