"I think this will be a great location to visit—once it has been built up more. We had a group of 3 for the Ultimate Day pass, and there was ultimately too much time between scheduled events and not enough to do. The trails have no defined path and no attention paid to visual interest with landscaping. With the recent snow, the trails were too muddy to enjoy. Any type of path, especially on the inclines, would be helpful. The waterfall was nice, but the basin it flowed into was dirty and you can see the old paint job on the concrete under the water, breaking the illusion of it being natural. While the “activity” of virtually walking the accommodations is a good marketing strategy, that is not an actual enjoyable activity. There is not enough to do to fill an hour and a half between arrival and lunch, and the minuscule lunch we were served left us waiting most of the time until our time on the range. I wish we would have done the Sunday brunch instead of lunch, as well; the lunch was laughable compared to what was listed for brunch, and being the same priced ticket is an insult. The broccoli soup didn’t even have enough broccoli in it to count as a serving of vegetables. The hostess did make sure to tell us to come back for brunch, so it seems the staff are aware the vast difference between menus being offered. The main event of the day pass is the time on the range, but you get one lane and three arrows even if you’re a couple or more booked together. We were shuttled to the range 5 minutes late due to only one shuttle running and poor time management, and so after getting instructions we lost almost 10 minutes of archery which is a third of the time you’re given. Trying to rotate between three people in the same amount of time given to a single person is ridiculous—we paid full price for each ticket, yet we each were not treated like a singular guest but rather a group. Overbooking your range should not be the customer’s problem. Axe throwing was slightly better, as we were allowed two lanes instead of one. All in all, there needs to be more offered to guests to justify the ticket prices. Even a maypole would have been a nice addition, or music to provide ambiance. This might be a nice venue if Boyd invests more into the experience instead of the cash grab."

"The Team at Ancient Lore was above phenomenal. They made my 30th birthday amazing with personal touches, joy, and kindness. I would highly recommend the ultimate day pass and definitely stay overnight (don't get there too late. The fire pit is awesome). I 100% want to go back as soon as possible!"

"If I could rate this place more than 5 starts I would! We came to the brunch they offer on Sundays and had the best time! The food was great, the venue was beyond beautiful, and the service was more than amazing! We even had a friend in our party that was in a wheelchair, and the staff there made sure we knew where all the accessible paths were and even offered to drive her around in a golf cart for no extra change! We got our moneys worth and so much more!! The only reason I didn't give the rooms 5 stars, was because we didn't stay in, or see inside any of the "cabins". But if they were anything like the rest of the place, they are above and beyond your expectations!"

"This was such a charming place, I cant wait to come back when the weather is warmer and everything is in bloom. Its so peaceful and the property has been well thought out. There are so many little details that make this place truly spectacular. There are restrooms throughout the property, carts to take you wherever you are going if you want them and the friendly staff makes it priority to take care of you. Id also like to note that they seemed genuinely happy and enjoyed working there. The activities were simple but fun and a great way to relieve stress. The dinner was my absolute favorite part; the glowing candle light, warmth from the flame towers, the soft renaissance faire style instrumental music, the dishes...everything was so beautiful and serene. Not to mention the food was great. I loved not knowing what would be placed before me next! Also highly recommend their specialty cocktails. Ancient Lore does not disappoint and I will be back."

"We are getting married here in 2025, we wanted to check the food out to see what the food was going to be like at our reception. This was the best brunch/food I have had!! Of course the location was absolutely beautiful!! Staff was super friendly and there to help at anything we needed. I will definitely write a new review when I get married with more pictures!❤️"
