"University of Memphis was better when I went there. This store was the hangout in 2007 to 2012, matter of fact it was so great I would stay on campus later than I had to. Now, it feels different, like my school got a Michael Jackson skin-color change or something."

"I went in and asked for a hardbound lab notebook. They said they had no idea what I was asking for. Refused to let me walk up and down the isles and look. I had no coat on or anything except a T-shirt, and nothing in my hands so there’s no way I could have shoplifted I showed him pictures on the Internet. Zero interest in me or what I needed and would not let me walk up and down the isles to find it. Totally unacceptable. Stay away from this place."

"Online bookstore service really went down hill after Barnes and Noble took over. Digital book availability is also less. I have had to use other ebook stores to now get my textbooks. Tiger smart start program that you have to opt out of every semester is also a racket. I have been able to get my books for cheaper on my own for the fall and summer semesters. I consider this preditory in hopes that the students do not opt out so they can make more money off them. Physical store is not so bad and the bathrooms are clean is the only reason for 3 stars."

"BE CAREFUL!! Do not trust this bookstore - even thought it is affiliated with the U of M, it’s bogus. I used their website to determine what materials I would need for my upcoming courses. I even decided to rent a book from them, one that they told me I needed for class. Turns out, I don’t need that textbook! The bookstore will LIE and trick you into purchasing books you do not need. Just wait until the professor tells you what is required, because if you rely on the bookstore, they will deceive you and take your money. Need customer service? HA! They will tell you they cannot help, because they are based in Malaysia. They will give you the bookstore phone number for support - which is ridiculous - if you call customer support and they refuse to help. I just want to cancel my pickup order, but nobody can assist! SUPPORT THE TIGER BOOKSTORE! This giant corporation doesn’t care about your money, time, satisfaction, ease of service."
