"Totally enjoy my shopping experience here."
"I like this Dollar General great staff always nice and lots of help if needed"
"This place has some prices that are reasonable or cheap but the majority of things are the same price as everywhere else. The store is fully stocked at all times. The manager is always working very hard to take care of the store and to stock it. Some employees seem to care and others don't care at all or are not helpful. There is one guy who wears make-up and looks like an old lady who has an attitude problem. I don't have a problem with people who have alternative lifestyles or different gender identities. I do have a problem with people who act like jerks. I would avoid him. He gets off on creating a dramatic scene or being confrontational with customers in order for him to play the victom so he can say he is being discriminated against. This person would rather be on their phone then to help you. He puts up a sign to use the self-check out because he is too busy being on his phone. Update: I've given this store another chance because it's so darn convenient and they are fully stocked all the times. And there are a lot of hard working employees trying to do their best. And the manager seems to be trying to make a difference and make it a really good store. So, I have been back a few times."
"If I could give this store location less than one star I would. Honestly it's one employee whom I believe is the manager that has ZERO customer service skills. It started about a month ago when I was buying a few things and went to the check out. I walked up to the register and this employee who wears glasses and hair up in a clip was on her phone looking down at her phone, she then looked up and noticed me...rolled her eyes and then continued to text and then finally decided to help me. This person acted like I bothered them AT THEIR HOME BASICALLY. I kind of shrugged it off thinking well everyone has their bad days so I left it at that. Last week I brought my disabled mother to dollar general to do her grocery shopping because it's easier for her to walk around a smaller store versus h.e.b to get what she needs without being in pain. She gets up to the register and the same lady with glasses is checking her out. Mind you there is a line and a lady standing behind my mother with one item. My mother apologized for having so many things to the lady in front of her and said sorry to the lady waiting behind her that could have been directed to the self check-out. The whole time the cashier was being completely rude and bothered by the amount of items my mom was purchasing. Mind you my mother was spending 200.00 in this store! The cashier/manager says "next time you need to go to h.e.b" in front of everyone ..my mother walked out with her groceries completely humiliated and embarrassed! I will never spend another dime in this store and have posted this in every neighborhood forum in my area. This employee is a disgrace to customer service and should be fired! Numerous times I've been here and they completely close the register and make everyone use self check out. Self check out is an option! I don't get paid by dollar general to check myself out. Do your job! Do better or leave customer service period!"
"The store itself was like every other Dollar General but the employee was not. There was a bell by the register that said press for service so I did, waited, pressed it again, waited and then went to look for someone. I found the cashier (no name tag) stocking the refrigerator. I told her i needed to check out. She told me she was closed (it was 6:15 and they close at 10:00 based on the door sign) not the store was closed but she was closed. She then informed me I would have to use the self check out. I don’t mind using self check out, especially in a place like this where they seem to have lowered their staff once they installed the self check. The employee is expected to stock, clean and ring up customers so of course she would prefer me to use the self check out and I would have except that what I wanted was behind the counter. I told her this and she blew out an exasperated breath and quickly walked to the register without a word. As she was ringing me up a man got in line behind me. She informed him that he would have to use the self check. He responded by saying he'd rather just wait here. Another exasperated sigh from the cashier. Made us both feel like our shopping here was an inconvenience to her. I miss customer service!"
