"Wonderful patient service! Dr Gupta and staff were outstanding! HOWEVER… the building his office is in had frozen water pipes and no heat! I know it’s below 0 here in Chicago but the building owner should be prepared for these possible situations! Also I’m partially handicapped and the snow removal team did an inadequate job! I walk with a cane and had a difficult/scary walk to and from the office!"

"Dr. Patel is wonderful! Dr. Patel gave me back my life. Initially I walked into Dr. Patel office with a cane, for I could not stand and walk. Do to dizziness and my balance issue. It has been three years since I first came to his office. I am happy to say I am functioning. I still have a balance issue and slight dizziness when outside. I function beautifully inside with no issues. I am now seeing Dr Patel assistant Alexx. I think Alexx is wonderful. I feel I just might be on the way to hopefully start to function better when outside. The main office is very professional. They have kindness. I appreciate the staff and medical assistance. "Dr. Patel - COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL Terrible experience. Made an appointment 2 months ago for my daughter who is 17 and we waited 2 months ago to get into to see the doctor only to show up fill out most of the paperwork and be told "I'm sorry, we are going to have to cancel today's appointment and reschedule for when she is 18. Legally the doctor cannot see her because she isn't 18". Ummm, excuse me? First off, I originally tried to schedule an appointment with her previous neurologist that we saw a few years ago who was a pediatric doctor but they told us because she is 17 and going to be 18 in 6 months, she will have to schedule with a regular neurologist . So they referred us to Dr. Patel and when I called to make the appointment I explained the situation on the phone to the scheduler and said because she is almost 18 they want her to see a regular doctor. She said okay and preceded to take her information and knew what her birthday was at the time and made no mention that "Legally the doctor couldn't see her because she wasn't 18". So we wasted TWO months of her not being seen only to be turned away AFTER we were already there. She will be 18 in FOUR months from the appointment date and I as her legal guardian was present at the appointment with her. How is it "illegal to see a patient under 18" when their parent is there and they are 4 months away from being 18? We have been to numerous specialist for other things, ear, nose throat doctors, etc. Who were NOT pediatric and they could see her. Why is this different? Now my daughter continues to miss out on club soccer and her return to play is further delayed because of this huge oversight and lack of professionalism. When I called the pediatric neurologist back they were dumbfounded that they would turn her away. He said that is the exact protocol they follow for kids who are in that transition age from 17 to 18, especially because of at the time of scheduling the appointment she was 6 months away from turning 18. We also called her regular doctor who also said it was totally unprofessional and unacceptable that they would say something so ridiculous and not see her. My daughter sat in their lobby sobbing when they told her this and begged to be seen. When I asked to speak to the doctor directly about this and explain it to me for himself he hid behind his office staff instead of being a professional and articulating it to us directly. I asked to speak with him directly TWICE and she came back TWICE with the same garbage and no doctor to be seen. SHAME ON YOU DR. PATEL!"
