"I cannot speak to all of the agents however I do not recommend working with Bob Disselhorst or Iliana Spray for personal auto and renters policies. I have been a policy holder with Travelers for the last 7 years or so and had not encountered an issue. My agent that I previously worked with resigned and I was assigned to Bob and Iliana. I moved from Colorado to Wisconsin and after 8 and a half weeks was unable to be provided with accurate auto and renter’s policies. To justify my frustration I have included below the communication between myself and the agents, as I feel it shows the incompetence and lack of responsiveness I received (note: due to posting length limits I had to condense). I first reached out to request an address change on 3/6 and due to inattention my renter’s policy ended up being dated 11 days late, meaning it took 5 weeks to rewrite my renter’s policy. My auto policy was never updated, as I was informed it had been, and as of cancelling my policies today (5/4) had not received the new policy quote with the correct address. I contacted another insurance agency and in a matter of 3 hours had signed new policies and saved $800/year with better coverage. The positive note is when calling to cancel my policies today I worked with Judy Affeld and she was great! 3/6/23 Me: Requested policy be updated with new address, lease start date of 4/1/23. 3/13/23 Me: No response, emailed again. 3/16/23 Bob Disselhorst responded “The renters was easy but Travelers wants a new application for the auto which we will work on and send over to you for signature.” 3/27/23 Me: Did not receive new policies, sent follow up email asking for status. 3/31/23 No email response so I called, spoke with Bob. 3/31/23 Bob sent new policy with wrong address. I requested correction. Bob said “Iliana is helping me get your renters fixed, looks like we have to write two new policies as travelers wont process a change because of the change in state.” Emails exchanging regarding property details. 4/10/23 Me: Did not hear response, emailed requesting status update. 4/10/23 Iliana Spray: “I’m sorry, I am not understanding I thought you were moving in on June 1st?. that is the reason we are waiting until closer to that date. Did you change the date? Maybe I am missing something did you get the apartment already, but just not moving into it until the first of June?” 4/10/23 Me: Provided 2 examples where emails said 4/1/23 lease start date. Asked policy to be backdated. 4/11/23 Iliana Spray: “Unfortunately, I am unable to backdate a policy, but I am able to start a new policy effective today. Please see quote attached. Please let me know if you wish to proceed with the application as I am able to email you the application for signature and we can process a credit card payment over the phone or by email.” 4/11/23 Me: I called to provide payment information, left voicemail. 4/12/23 Me: Emailed asking to be called back to provide payment. 4/13/23 I called again due to no email response. Iliana answered, provided payment information. 4/13/23 Signed documents for new address. 4/19/23 Me: Noticed auto policy address not updated. Emailed to ask. 4/19/23 Iliana Spray: Responded stating an issue with system. Resubmitted, requested payment. 4/20/23 Called to provide payment information. Left voicemail. 4/20/22 Me: I’ve left you a voicemail requesting a call back. 4/24/23 Called due to no response. Provided payment information. 4/25/23 Iliana Spray: Need to rewrite policy. Would take 24-48 business hours. 5/4/23 Me: “Hello - Are there any additional updates on this?” 5/4/23 Iliana: “Yes, I did receive the quote from them. I will forward to you in a few. Thank you.” Did not receive anything additional."
