"Gino came out to give me an estimate on a house in San Antonio. From the beginning, I believed in the best of Gino and Angel. I never wanted to result in having to leave bad reviews for them. I had met with about 15 contractors for an estimate. He seemed like a nice, honest guy who was hardworking to support his family. I hired him. He lied about having a general contractor's license. He strung me along for about 2 months telling me work was being progressed and requested more funds along the way and for materials to be purchased as "work progressed". It turned out not only did he not have a license that he and his wife Angel kept telling me they had, the electrician they hired with the license they showed me turned out to be a false electrician who was stealing someone else identity and license to do work illegally. Not only was it not done without permits and illegally, but it was done wrong. When I finally figured out none of the work was really done and it was all done without permits and wrong, I fired him. I still believed in the best in Gino and his wife Angel. They played the victim and I believed them. I gave them a second chance to fix the damage and repay the just under $10,000 they owe me for work not done or done wrong. I gave them leeway and grace to make the payments in a timeframe they said they could afford. They signed an notarized agreement to this. They failed to make the first payment and requested an extension. They signed an addendum to extend it and failed to make the new first payment deadline. They are now ignoring my calls, emails, and text messages. Not only am I at a close to $10,000 loss because of them, but many of the items Gino asked me to purchase because "work was ready" to install the appliances, GOT STOLEN, adding another few thousand lost. I am left with no other way to get them to respond to me. All I can say is that I do not recommend working with A&G Painting and Repairs."
