"This is specifically for Bob Huska, but frankly Erie was unwilling to switch us to another agent and seemed to really not care that we were having problems with him, so it's on them too. For an insurance "consultant" I had to consult Him an awful lot. We got in a wreck in July when some jerk crossed the center line and totaled our truck in TN on the first day of our vacation. The guy didn't have insurance so it all had to go through us. This was the first time we really needed to actually use the insurance we've been paying for this whole time but come to find out he didn't have proper rental coverage (2500 RAM truck that he had small car rental for in an accident) and he really did not give 2 cents about us. Everything was a struggle when dealing with him. The only reason we didn't know sooner is cause Connie does EVERYTHING for him. It would take a while to list out the numerous phone calls where he didn't have the answers and would "have to call me back or email me" but then he never would and we'd have the same conversation over and over. He is lazy and condescending and has little actual knowledge about insurance coverage as I had to inform HIM that he had screwed us out of coverage that would've gotten us actual replacement value for our truck for only $35/Yr!! In the hole $10k+ because we were lacking this coverage that he apparently wasn't even aware of. Save yourself the money and hassle, go elsewhere. I'm not sure how Erie stays in business with agents like this. If you decide to go with Erie find some other agent!!"
"Avoid this company at all costs! Bob is the WORST insurance "agent". Consultant is in the company name, but there was no consulting done... There was an option we could have added to our auto policies for a minimal fee per year that would have given us a higher payout in the event of a total loss. This was NEVER offered to us!!! Would have been nice to have when our truck was totaled by an uninsured driver! Bob was not helpful at all through the process after our accident, and in fact seemed like he couldn't care less! Never asked if we were all ok, (me, my wife, and our 2 kids under 4) thankfully we were. I believe he just wants to take your money and not do ANYTHING for you. He would rarely respond via email or phone, we'd have to keep emailing/calling. When we finally did get ahold of him, he would never have answers to our questions. If you're set on using Erie insurance, go with ANYONE BUT THIS GUY!!!"
"This review is specifically for Bob, Erie insurance agent. Stay as far away as possible from him. Since around 2017, I have numerous emails that have been unreturned, and most recently, he changed my homeowners policy without my consent. When I asked that he release me as a client so that I can partner with a different Erie agent, he refused to do so, knowing that a transfer requires him and my new agent to work together. He told me he likes having customers and that customers are the property of the agents, not Erie (for the record, customers are not the property of anyone). He also demanded that I show him proof that he did not respond to my emails. I told him that I gladly will if he will help transfer me to another agent. He then responded, very unprofessionally, “Why don’t you say ‘Thank you’? Then I will let you go to another agent.” Extremely petty and unprofessional. I had no choice but to escalate my issue to the district sales manager through Erie customer service. Do yourself a favor; don’t get into a contract with Bob."
