"Nice apartment. Very roomy, superb location! Property manager is extremely nice, friendly, and genuinely caring; however, she is swamped by her caseload, so general communication is not always prompt, and maintenance service can take weeks or months--if you even get a response or service. Property manager rushed me into the apartment as close to the beginning of the month as she could. Although I was in no hurry, I did not mind at the time. Then I gradually came to find that her rushing had a downside for me: clean but still wet carpet from the cleaning, ingrained stain in the breakfast bar was not addressed, door intercom was in disrepair (and never fixed over the course of my 10 month stay), back sliding screen patio door was in disrepair (fixed 4 months after move-in), toilet seat was not affixed and toilet did not flush (fixed days after move-in), bedroom outlet switch did not work (fixed 7 months after move-in), and bathroom sink was a slow drain (fixed days after move-in). Although nothing was offered to offset this horrible welcome and inconvenience, she was always pleasant and ultimately did let me out of my lease 2 months early without penalty. I am very clean, was rarely home, and had the apartment professionally cleaned after I moved out, but still lost $1,038 of my $1,175 security deposit due to an ironically incredible nitpicking of "cleaning costs" needed to ready the apartment for the next person she rushed in."
