"Went to St. Charles to watch a Chicago Steele hockey game... and was VERY happy we stayed the night at the Baker. Very lovely hotel with a ton of history. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff at the front desk was SUPER nice and accommodating, and the price for the room was very reasonable. (The gym room was closed for some reason, which made me sad... but took a long walk by the river, so that was good). Highly recommend staying at the Baker... and located right in the heart of everything, and surrounded by good restaurants."

"I stayed at this hotel for a visit with my family at the end of January 2024. There is no garage at this hotel. The "passenger drop off" is located 10-15 ft from the front door. It is a mixture of brick and concrete and is very uneven. During our stay - I dropped off my girl friend at the passenger hotel drop off zone. She took a few steps out of my car and was hidden from me from the street. She fell on her right side, bruising it very badly. It was a sheet of ice. You would think having a dropped off zone in would be heavily salted. It wasn't until after I reported her fall they immediately salted and removed the ice and snow. The parking garage is a block and a half away from the hotel."

"We celebrated a family wedding and reception on 2/2. The venue was gorgeous, and the staff was extremely accommodating. Jennifer Sanchez, the Guest Services Manager, went out of her way with any request or need my family had. After checking out, our family spent some time in the lobby sharing stories while waiting to depart. The gentleman, who worked so hard keeping the breakfast supplied and area clean, brought us a pitcher of water and glasses while we waited. Since our family had many members from out of town, we did not have many of the conveniences of home, but Jennifer and her team made Hotel Baker feel like home. Gorgeous setting, great location and amazing staff, made this celebration one to remember. The history associated with Hotel Baker was an unexpected benefit."

"We had a special event at the Hotel for the St. Charles History Museum. Rowena was so accommodating and we enjoyed the entire evening. Recently remodeled rooms were a treat to explore and we enjoyed the grounds as well as the historic Rainbow Room. Highly recommended!"

"We had our wedding and reception in the Waterfront Patio and Waterfront Room at Hotel Baker in September 2023. From start to finish, the staff at Hotel Baker was professional and detail oriented. Hotel Baker exceeded our expectations all the way around. Not only is it a unique and beautiful venue, but the staff were friendly, communicative, organized, and proactive. Marissa from Hotel Baker was so helpful and took care of everything for us. They are easy to work with, and it is very clear that they are very experienced when it comes to weddings. The food was absolutely delicious! They provided a full tasting experience months before the event, and we got to taste all of the items we wanted to serve. Hotel Baker is a great value, considering the quality and convenience they provide. We saved on décor because the space because it was already so gorgeous! WE spent the night at the hotel and the room was spacious and comfortable. Our guests kept remarking on how lovely the day was. Cannot recommend this venue highly enough!"
