"We’ve lived here since May of 2021, no problems. This year when renewing our lease we received a non-renewal letter, when calling and asking if they could reconsider or get an explanation they didn’t have one to provide. This was very upsetting and unplanned for in such a short notice as we have a baby."
"I've had nothing but problems since I moved in. From the ac being broken the day I moved in and it taking almost 3 months to get it fixed. With high electric bills for a 1 bedroom apartment it's unrealistic for anyone to be able to live without struggling. Now I have an infection of squirrels living in my walls. Waiting to find out what and how long that is going to take to fix."
"SHORT REVIEW: apartments are renovated the CHEAPEST POSSIBLE way; everything feels improvised; utilities are ludicrously expensive and management DOES NOT CARE and will do NOTHING about it; maintenance is next to useless and all their fixes are temporary; rent is NOT WORTH it for what you get. SAVE YOUR MONEY, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE AND DON'T EVEN CONSIDER THIS PLACE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HAVE PROBLEMS. LONG REVIEW: through the duration of my lease, I have paid rent on time and always treated the apartment as my own; taking care of appliances and even going the extra mile not to damage anything. One day, our automatic rent payment doesn't go through. Knowing we had the funds, my wife and I go investigate what happened. We find out that a bug on THEIR END caused the issue to occur, and upon talking to administration, we are told that from that point on we'd have to use a bill pay service to pay rent (which costs $4.00 to do every time). Lago vista promptedly refused to refund those $4.00 fees. This issue, which was THEIR FAULT, caused a late fee of $100 to be applied to our account. They recognize their mistake at first, telling us to "not worry about it" and say they disconsidered the late fee. Upon finishing the lease and only then, we are told that the first three months of utilities had not been charged to our account, which I verified to be correct. However, a new late fee of $100 is set on our account because of the failure to pay for utilities on time. Whoever took care of the first late fee did not correctly erase it and instead waived in the system, making it impossible for the new fee to be waived as well. Mistakes happen, but these people refused to accept they might have made one and instead are prompt to blame their tenants for anything that goes wrong. I talked to the property management about the situation and she refused to even entertain my explanation, instead merely repeating what she had already said, and like a robot, disengaging from any further conversation. She was incredibly unpleasant and the administration has ZERO interest in taking care of problems. Save your money and time, go deal with other people instead of these folks."
"I enjoyed my experience at deLago Vista until I received my move out bill which they immediately sent to collections. I moved in with two dogs and paid a $600 pet deposit. The dogs were rarely allowed in the bedroom, the only carpeted room. I was charged for a new carpet plus additional items - which I actually mostly agreed to. The bill did not reflect my $600 security deposit. I wrote to Lago Vista and the collections company to please reduce by the pet deposit - the bill stated they replaced the carpet because of dogs. I asked that the $600 be applied to reduce the bill. I said I would pay upon receipt of correct bill! I heard nothing. The total appeared on my credit report today! I really thought this place was a great place to live. However, they turned out to be scum and thieves in the end!"
"I have never lived in an apartment and I was nervous, but Bree Ross made the moving process easy. She clearly communicated everything I needed to do and made me feel at home. I have no complaints.
