"I visit a friend who lives in this apartment complex. They are low income housing only, as far as I know $0 income families get free rent. Floor plans are 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom only. My friends apt is large, has wood(Fake) floors and real nice appliances. The office isn't open for drop ins, you need to call ahead to set an appointment. Unfortunately this apartment complex is known to be a high crime area, though I would love there myself. There is Metro Security normally onsite and the grounds are under video surveillance. I've often walked through the complex late at night and have never had a problem. There is a public bus stop located conveniently at the entrance."
"I Wish I Could Leave 0 Stars, Hate This Place So Bad They Have A Mice Infestation & Want You To Pick It Up If Their Poison Kills It ! I Have A Huge Mice Phobia & It's Messing With My Health Please Reply To My Comment If You Can Help Find Better Housing. My Oven Was Broken For A Whole Month & I Was Constantly Lied To About Someone Coming To Fix It & Now It’s Cold Outside (November 2nd) We Have No Heat & It’s Been A Few Days Now I Was Told By The Lady At The Front Desk It’ll Take 30 Days To Restart The Heat But When I Asked The Maintenance Man I Was Told 3 Hours, 24 Hours Later I’m Still Yet To Have Heat. It’s Sad How The Residents Are Treated & How It’s New Management Yet Nothing Has Improved"
"The mice are horrible!! I have no roaches!! Maintenance is great they fix things the same day. Rent can be too much if u work a lot you won't be able to save and move cuz the more u work the more u pay. If your apartment is vandalized due to crime or domestic ,show the police report n u pay for nothing. In the past, for years the metro abused their power and banned a lot of innocent people but now they are not so bad. Now under new management and they're remodeling the whole complex! New management Update: Mice are still horrible. Maintenance procrastinate with fixing things unless it's water damage or needs immediate attention. The "office staff" are cordial. They rarely come out the Office so you really dont know who staff is. If you call during office hours 8 times out of 10 you will get an answering machine. No more human contact. Important mail regarding your apartment is left in your door as opposed to being mailed as it has been in the past(I've received another residence past due balance letter from the office in my door before smh) There are big dogs on the premises from time to time now. Filthy, nasty, trash and roach infested apartments are more plentiful than ever now. obviously lease violations aren't being enforced to address the issues. If there were issues with the security or something, you're required to put in a written complaint to which you'll never receive a response. Theres no more security now.The crime hasn't decreased. People are still getting killed and shotings occurs morning, noon, and night. Meanwhile, they have locked the back turnstile (assuming intentions are to reduce crime) making RR the only housing development in Rockford with one way in and out in. The locked turnstile use to allow the kids to go down to Washington Park where there's a larger, better park, for all ages to utilize; including a basketball court, walking path ect. People use to be able to swiftly and safely take advantage of the programs the Rockford park district has to offer the children. Now, If the kids want to visit the park they must jump, squeeze through, or wiggle under the tall iron gates which has lead to multiple children being injured. Now to access the park one must get dropped off, or take a 10-15 min walk around the neighborhood, where there are barely any sidewalks available, forcing the women and children of RR to share the streets with busses and moter vehicles. The buildings are no longer routinely power washed yearly. The apartments are beautifully remodeled. There's a small park for toddlers towards the front. They have a business exterminate every month. The grounds are cleaned m-fri. And they've added a lovely, convenient Laundry Room. Utilities, you only pay for lights and the heat is lovely in the winter. I've witnessed RHA, Midwest Management, and now Envolve manage this development. in my opinion, this is the worst concord/ RR has been overall."
"This place should be ashamed of themselves. My daughter has two small children, the heat in the front building wasn't working so she left for a little while. Kept in contact with the office, I've driven her to her apartment to pay her rent. She went back to pay her rent and the maintenance man and woman had thrown all her stuff away this was about a month ago, and someone new was moving in. Didn't email my daughter call her or nothing. I have the report to prove it.this place takes advantage of low income people."
"I've lived here for almost 4 years and just moved into one of the remodeled units. Most of the work done looks like it was done by a patchwork toddler however it is still a far cry better than the unit I was in. The mice problem is something that hasn't changed any. Never had roaches still don't a lot of people do but I think out here you got to be pretty gross to end up with roaches considering pest control comes through monthly. The new management is okay....ish."
