"Took my cat here, gave her a gabapentin 2 hours prior because she can be feisty. She did fine with the tech and pressure test. Rainbow came in and didn’t even say 2 words to me, did not tell me what he was planning on doing. I suggested I should hold her during the tests with rainbow but they essentially refused and she became agitated too which Mr rainbow LITERALLY threw up his hands not once but twice and made and ugh sound. Then suggested sedation and surgery without even attempting to try again. All he gave me was suggestions of what it could be, quoted me a 1500 procedure that he himself said he didn’t know of it would work. With his horrible bedside manner, lack of explanation, less than 2 min attempting to see my cat, and awful attitude towards her I wouldn’t let him touch her with a 10 foot pole. Based on his interaction with her while I was present, I felt wildly uncomfortable to allow him any interaction with her when I wasn’t present in fear of how he would treat her. He didn’t seem to like being a veterinarian. When I left they had the audacity to say everything they did was covered in the $200 deposit. They literally didn’t do ANYTHING. There are so many other vets and ophthalmologists in the surrounding areas that it would be better to drive 500 miles than take your pet here."
"BEWARE! We brought our Cocker Spaniel in on a Friday to see Dr. Rainbow for a procedure to remove a growth on her eye lid. Post surgery we brought her home and she seemed fine all day Friday and most of the day Saturday. After returning from Dinner Saturday night, she was very lethargic and taking very short breaths. On her post op papers, it listed a number to call if we had any problems that arose. We called the number (obviously after hours) and it gave the option to speak to an “On Call” doctor in case of emergencies. The first time I tried that option, it appeared that someone answered and immediately hung up. I tried the number again and pressed the option to speak to the “on call” doctor and it went to a voicemail and I left a detailed message of what was happening. NO CALL BACK! We then made the decision to take her to the Vet ER on Grand Parkway. When we arrived they were great but also informed us that she was in Congestive Heart failure and her lungs were full of fluid. They also informed us that during Dr. Rainbows procedure she was given too much fluid and given nothing to take the fluid out which should have happened. Although the ER Dr tried to give her something to help, the damage was done and ultimately we had to make the difficult decision to put her down so that she didn’t suffer any longer. We NEVER received a call back from the “On Call” Doctor and I informed the office Monday Morning that Lilly had DIED. I requested to speak to the office manager, which I did and informed her that I would like for Dr. Rainbow to speak to the ER Dr so that she could tell him what happened and for him to call me back and perhaps at the very least apologize for the obvious mistake. That never happened and we never heard back from anyone at the clinic. I would proceed with extreme caution with trusting your pet in the hands of this Dr."
"My dog was having an issue with one of her eyes. Saw doctor Rainbow twice, first time he said there was nothing wrong. Second visit he stated that she had turner syndrome and she either had thyroid problem or cushings syndrome, he prescribed some drops for stetic look more than for treatment. After three days of getting the drops her eye got really red, I called the office an informed them and I asked to have a visit so dr. Rainbow could evaluate her eye now, they said no appointment for 2 weeks. The said just to stop the drops. Her eye kept on looking worst, I could see like a membrane and a spot on her iris and the side face of that eye was painful to her. I called office again and described what was going on to the staff since the doctor is never available to come to the phone and talk to anyone. I requested appointment as soon as possible since this was an on going problem and he saw her twice already for this. They said no appointment for two weeks and that they couldn't even add me for a quick evaluation any time soon. I was able to find another eye doctor with appointment in a week. the day of the appointment something on her eye popped, it was bleeding and it had pus. I called the new eye doctor and right a way they were able to see me earlier. When they evaluated the doctor said that she had a hole in the cornea and the cornea had separated requiring emergency surgery removing the eye. I don't believe this can happen in a matter of days and I strongly feel that dr. Rainbow missdiagnosed my dog. I called multiple times to dr. Rainbow's office to speak to him about what happened, he never came to the phone to talk to me, left messages with his staff and his manager. Dr. Rainbow or his manager never returned my call. This to me is a great lack of empathy, kindness, care for patients, costumer service and consideration. I couldn't have had a worst experience. My baby at 15 years old lost one eye."
"We love the staff here. They were all very kind when they prepped us to see Dr. Rainbow. We had the most interaction with Diana, she's the best! She gives great explanations and answers all questions. She also gave helpful suggestions on giving Bruno his medicine."
"As the founder of a rescue, we had a sweet male cat who had an issue with his eye. His third eyelid was covering half of his eye. We were worried it was bothering him, but it wasn't. We wanted to make sure he was healthy and adoptable. Our vet asked us to reach out to Dr. Rainbow. They did a surgery on him, and his eye looks amazing. Look at the before and after pics. First 2 are the before, next 2 are the after. Thank you so much!!!"
