"This is a warning for anyone that uses Kroger and especially if you order online for pick up. On 12/08/2023 I purchased $38.19 of groceries at the 99 and Morton Ranch Rd. in Katy, Texas. I was checking my bank account this morning and noticed that Kroger charged my account an additional 6 times totaling $180. I called their customer service to report it. The first ( idiot) Customer service rep I talked to said it was their normal business practice to place pending charges on your card and not to worry the charges would be reversed in 5-9 business days. I told him I was pissed and those were unauthorized charges. His response... " I know how you feel". I told him I was going to go to Kroger and take $180 worth of groceries from the store without paying for them. I said I would return them in 5-9 business days. He advised that would be stealing and illegal. I responded... SO IS PLACING UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES ON MY CARD. Long story short.... I called my bank and filed a complaint and had them remove those charges. I called Kroger customer Service 2 more times. Talked to 2 other Customer service reps who were literally more ignorant and useless than the first one. If you use Krogers and their pickup service be aware they can and will abuse your trust when it comes to your, money business and loyalty. I can honestly say I have shopped at Krogers for 30+ years. Buy my groceries, gas and medications there. As of today...Never again! Hello HEB!"
"Every time I go there at least two items don’t match the price advertised inside the store or ad. I always make sure if it’s a clip coupon I add it to my card, but always there has to be at least two items not matching store posted pricing. Never again will I go there unless it’s an emergency or just purchase a single item."
"They have a nice selection of energy drinks, but they need to install more coolers for them. I don’t like drinking room temperature energy drink. also, they’ll have a good sale on an item but require you to use the app, being a Kroger member should be enough to get the sale, I shouldn’t have to use the app."
"EDIT: I live very close to this Kroger and it’s very easy for me to do a grocery pickup as I don’t have time to go to the store to shop. Product is 50/50 depending on time of day I set the pickup. Generally the mornings are better. I have received many broken items and spoiled/expired foods so I am sure to clarify in any breakable items’ notes to please make sure they aren’t broken, spoiled or expired. I appreciate the pickup people so much because I know it’s a lot and probably an annoying job. But it IS their JOB, so I have to remember that too. However, this time around, everything was damaged. Unfortunately I had to go all the way home to discover that. I had gotten hard shell tortillas; crushed. My boxes of pasta… crushed. As you can see my eggs… crushed. It was almost like something fell on it and they just thought, eh, not gonna replace it. I even got some energy drinks and the cans were dented! Needless to say, if you place the pickup it’ll be a gamble on your product based on the girls picking it. There’s one in particular who generally gives me damaged product 100% of the time (afternoons or later). All the other sweet girls make sure my pickup is wonderful. High risk high reward I guess. OG POST: I will only pickup in the mornings- it’s the only time I get good product. Whoever does pickup orders at night is terrible. I even asked for them to make sure the eggs weren’t broken and yet…"
