Reviews of Natural Bridge Caverns
"Definitely worth the detour from freeway 35. It is still owned by the family that owned the ranch when the caverns were discovered in 1960, but they have improved the greatly where you can walk down 180 ft underground and then come walking back up, although walking back up it's a little steep of an incline. It is also next to the wildlife safari, which was $31 for the ticket and well worth the 6 Mile Drive, which took about one and a half hours to get through. I took the discovery to our comma Went down to the deepest And the biggest caverns. The college kids who discovered that these in 1960 had to climb down through a 11"- 22" opening meeting through from one chamber to the lower bigger chambers, initially, until the family built a pathway that they now use for the tours."
"Such an awesome and beautiful experience. Wear tennis shoes and be ready for a steady climb down and more so on your way up. Not for elderly or those who cannot handle too much exercise. The tour guides are very informative and fun while they explain everything. The scenery unforgettable. Hearing how many thousands of years it takes for just a small "Pillar" to form is crazy. Cannot wait to explore other areas next time. There is so much to look at and see before and after as well."
"We went to this cave as one of the first we’ve ever been in and it was a great time. We went on the Hidden Wonders Tour and since we went later on in the afternoon on a weekday, we were the only ones on the tour, which was kind of neat. The staff at the caverns are very knowledgeable and friendly. They explained everything beforehand It was very neat to see all the structural formations naturally constructed over time. My favourite part was the lights show at the end, which makes it a bit more magical. It is a bit of a walk but there are stops to sit. There is also a conveyor belt at the end that you can stand on if you choose when going out of the cave. Definitely something to do when you’re in San Antonio."
"Great time and worth the trip! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Some walking and oddly warm inside, I would've thought cold but the humidity makes it warmer. If you can't do walking on wet floors, don't go. The light features make this absolutely top notch and a memorable experience."
"This was one of the most amazing caverns I’ve been to. I like that it is family owned and operated. I did the discovery tour and that is currently $27-30 depending on what day of the week you go. It’s an hour long so I recommend wearing good sneakers. It’s about 70 degrees inside the cavern. Our tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable. If you’re not in shape, disabled, or an older adult, I would skip this as it can get strenuous at times. If you think you can do it, then all the more power to you."
