"Pharmacist refused to fill my prescription for Gabapentin. She said the insurance wouldn’t pay for another 4 days. I said no problem, I’ll pay out of pocket. They said it would be $60 I was in the drive through. She refused to show her face and then asked me how I was taking it. I told her twice a day like my doctor told me. She then argued with me about how to take it. I was on 300mg twice a day for a pinched nerve. If you look up Gabapentin, you will find that 300 is the lowest dose, so 600 per day is well within the max dose standards. Also, the drug has a low abuse potential. I told her to call my doctor. She kept arguing with me. Again, told her to call my doctor. Finally, she quipped with, “Well I’m going to call your doctor and find out if you are supposed to be taking it twice a day.” I said, “That is what I told you to do!” Here is where it really gets good. My doctor calls me and tells me that the pharmacist is refusing to accept the modification to the prescription where they told me I could take it twice a day, and won’t fill my script for 4 more days. The pharmacist thinks she is smarter than my doctor. The doctor, frustrated, sent the new prescription to HEB, who happily filled it and without insurance I paid a measly $12. $12. Walgreen’s wanted $60. If you were going to refuse to fill the prescription anyway, why waste my time, the people in line behind me’s time, and the doctor’s time? Just to be clear, this is the daytime pharmacist at 2010 S. Fry. She is a miserable woman. There is no reason to argue with a patient. I had no answer I could have replied that would have resulted in my medication getting filled, so why ask? I sincerely hope a medical director gets forwarded this review, I will gladly accept phone calls from Walgreen’s to further discuss this incident. I have been using Walgreen’s exclusively for 35 years and will no longer."

"The absolute worst service, I get a test saying the prescription is ready, arriving and they always say it will be 20 to 30 min. Pharmacy people is there worst, rude and uncaring, I wish I had another pharmacy close to me. I ask my doctor if I can get my prescription for 3 months at the time so I don't have to go there. These is about the highland knolls location."
