Surrey Oaks Apartments

"Where do I even begin ? I paid $175 to process my application. The application was never processed. The manager Lenora , leasing agent Susan and their manager Sarah stole my money !!! For over a month I’ve been calling and going into the office to get answer as of what’s going on. Initially Lenora gave me hard time about my income . I was taken back and she asked me if I “really”worked for my employer. I went above and beyond to give the property proof of employment. Only for her to tell me that their property does not verify employment and it’s not her job to do so. I paid for a service and employment verification is apart of it. Lenora and her manager both refuse to verify my income and have left me completely hanging. The leasing agent Susan stays on her phone and very uninterested in helping. I sent a email demanding someone processes my application and start communicating with me or give me a refund. Susan called me as if she was processing my application only to say no I’m not going to run your app and I don’t have to give you any money. I have been discounted , ignored and robbed through this entire process. The upper manager Sarah is no longer taking my phones calls or responding to my emails. This is simple… If no one is going to verify my income and do their job GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK !!!!! Or I will have my attorney give you all a call and take further action. Thank you in advance."

"The worst nightmare, This is how we describe our stay in this place. The walls are made of paper, everything is heard absolutely, every step they take, you feel that the roof is going to fall and the neighbors on top are going to fall on you, it is so ridiculously and absurd that when the neighbor above farts, in our apartment you hear and even the walls shake. We have informed the disregard on the part of the neighbors above, who are day and night running around the apartment, but the new administration does not care about the well-being of the residents, they only care about the money, since we have made the notifications in writing, and not an admonition they have made. The odors of what they cook in other apartments enter the air ducts, and that is horrible. Not to mention that several times that the neighbors toilet was blocked up and all those black waters fell into our apartment, practically on top of us. the most disgusting thing we've ever lived. And it happened 3 times. There's fungus on the walls, his way of solving the fungus, was painting it. We asked the new administration 3 Thousand One Crystal Springs to allow us to finish our contract because the Apartment is in the worst conditions, and we were denied the request. They only came to repair and offered to move us to an apartment at a higher cost, which we were not willing to pay. Good luck new residents!!! Enjoy the hell"

"October 2017- I have lived at Surrey Oaks for two weeks now and have had the best experience for the whole process. The application process, for the most part, went smoothly. Sam and Martha in the office are very helpful and were very easy to get a hold of. They even accommodated my crazy work schedule in regards to touring the apartment and filling out lease paperwork. I have had a couple work orders due to my OCD about my home and the maintenance team has them done usually the same day withing 4-5 hours of me putting the request in! Very fast! Not many negatives about the complex except maybe the exterior condition of the apartment. My patio wall, "old wood", is pretty worn out and chipping/rotting at the bottom due to previous water damage I'm assuming. I might put in a maintenance request for this at a later date but it doesn't affect my day to day life at Surrey at all. Overall, a wonderful experience to date. August 2018 - I am so happy to be leaving this place for good. The only good thing about it is the maintenance guys. They are quick and efficient. The office changes managers and staff weekly, the pool never seems to be open, the laundry rooms are nasty and there are always bugs in the washer/dryers. There are no handicap-accessible sidewalks which I’m pretty sure is illegal. Definitely won’t refer anyone here and won’t be coming back."

"July 2017- July 2018. Probably the worst place I have Ever lived. Especially for the high price I was paying. Roaches, nasty water, cabinets breaking apart from wood rotting and managers that clearly do not care. So many different managers in the 1 year span of living there but this last one was a joke. The Maintenance guys were the only thing that were great about the apartments! They were fast and did a great job. Make sure you walk through the apartment you will be renting if you are interested. The one they show you is completely different from the one you will be getting. Good luck to anyone wanting to rent from this place."

"I have lived here for 4 years and i am very happy living here. The community is always nice and clean, not to mention, nice and quiet. I feel very satisfied living here and am happy to say that I will be renewing my lease another year. The management crew is very helpful and quick to assist in anything we ask for, they keep the apartment complex looking really nice and clean, the pool is always sparkling clean. I would like to give a big thanks to the manager Marta, that has really made this a more pleasant place to live."
