"Absolutely terrible place to live. We’ve been here about a year and it has been nothing but problems. Roaches, mold, leaky ceilings, maintenance personnel who claim we were lying about said leaks, broken appliances with no answers to our literal dozens of requests, unfriendly and unhelpful staff, predatory towing (we were charge $800 in towing fees because of an error on their part) constant water shut offs for hours at a time, gunshots heard weekly…I could go on. Do not rent from this place. They do not care about their people or their safety."
"First off the safety is there last priority. I have lived here for a year now and there have been shootings and when I went to the office to ask for update the assistant leasing manager said “as of right now police patrol is out of our budget”. I told her that it literally happened outside our kids window and she basically shrugged her shoulder and could care less. Second the maintenance people can care less to fix anything they half fix everything or will “complete” the order and never even come over. The replaced our toilet because it was leaking water 5 months after we moved in and multiple orders sent and trips to the office, the new toilet was to big for the restroom and the door would not close. Third they are constantly working on the water system and shut it off with no warning until they have shut it of. Don’t recommend this place at all!!!"
"The new manager . Very rude change information on ledger. Come to apt after hour. Never fix nothing, bad roaches, plumbing new pipe. It's very nasty at the Felix. Not safe at all. Trash everywhere. Swim pool have issues can't never get fix. Air conditioner need to be replaced my apt in the summer was 90% there I have to go and buy a 120 unit. Toilet waist in coming out side in the grass."
"What a nightmare! Worst experience I've ever had with an apartment. They offered me a place, took my money, gave me an apartment number with move in date, but on date of move in they finally decide to look at my case and deny me. On move in day!!! With uhaul packed out front and nowhere else to go!! The manager wouldn't even come out of her office to speak to me directly. Also, my first experience in there was a resident screaming at staff because of 600 dollars in unwarranted fines. Avoid this place as if your life depends on it, it very well may. I wouldn't even poop in their bathroom!!"
"I really have NO words adequate enough to describe how terrible the experience I had with Felix Apartment was. Margarette and the rest of the staff there assured my boyfriend that they would make our process of moving-in “as smooth as humanly possible” at first. My boyfriend had some criminal background from years ago but was honest with everyone at Felix from the very beginning. They reviewed the rental criteria and informed my boyfriend that nothing he mentioned matched with anything that would flag a non-approval so he applied. We paid a little over $100 with a processing fee for the application fee, and a little over $300 for a deposit. I thought it was odd that they were asking for deposit funds BEFORE approving him but it was paid to them. They gave us green checks of approval in every area of the application on the online portal and verbally told us that everything was good to go. We got a log-in to the portal with our new apartment number, started getting resident newsletters, etc – again all prior to the actual move-in. We discussed with them getting keys on a Friday, last Friday – everything again was great, or so we were told. The day prior to our scheduled move-in they STARTED doing the follow-up for our rental history. I know because I was in contact with our old landlord all throughout. Margette would act confused every time she got a call BACK from my old landlord, as if she wasn’t the one reaching out. They ask the previous landlord to fill out a form for rental history that was created in 1983. They call us and give us our pro-rate amount, again assure us that everything is great for TOMORROW move-in. My boyfriend arrives to pick-up KEYS for the new apartment and they inform us that something in his background came back flagged from the 3rd party approval service and that we couldn’t move-in. The day, the hour we were planning on starting – with all our possessions from our previous place packed in and keys turned in. YEP! They hadn’t bothered even processing the application for full approval until the hour we were set to actually move-in, all while leading us to believe everything was just fine. They refunded the $300 deposit but not the $100 application fee. And when my boyfriend went in there in person to really get to the bottom of things, the manager sat in the other room and refused to come out and speak to him, apologize or address the ridiculous oversight in any way. The complex seems to be pretty “hood” overall as well. We drove through at night and it was a little sketchy so it’s probably a good thing it didn’t work out. That and when we walked in this last time, the manager was getting screamed at by some current resident about sudden fees she’d gotten from them. It was just a terrible, unfriendly, disorganized production from the jump but to render potential clients HOMELESS the DAY OF MOVE in is past just incompetence, or a crummy experience. It’s borderline EVIL. PLEASE, PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE."
