"My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt House at the beginning of February. Our check-in process was smooth and the front desk staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our room as well. However, our first full day there we went to take a shower and the water kept getting hotter and hotter. Next thing we know, the water in the shower is scalding hot. We try to switch it to cold and it does absolutely nothing. We turn it off and back on several times to try and see if we can get the water to be a more comfortable temperature for 5 minutes straight. We still were not having any luck. Mind you, I have had shampoo in my hair waiting to rinse it out when the water temperature became tolerable, but that never happened. We got out to check the temperature of the sink water and it was only scalding hot too. My husband calls down to the front desk and they tell us that they are going to send someone up to take a look at it. We waited for 45 minutes with shampoo in our hair for the maintenance guy to come up. He finally comes up and is VERY rude and yelling at us. We did not appreciate the way he spoke to us. He told us we were not going to get "cold" water on the 4th floor and that we should not have turned the water to hot. We were told that you have to keep the water at "cold" and then SLOWLY turn the water temperature to warm. If you push it too far, you will only get hot water. How were we supposed to know that? Why would the front desk not let us know of this or at least put a sign in the bathroom so your guests can have a heads up? Also, thank God we did not have kids in that shower and them having to deal with scalding hot water. I think that you need to add signage for the hot water in the bathrooms and also speak to your maintenance guy because he does not have any customer service & by the time he left, I wanted to cry because of the way he spoke down to us. The breakfast is also bland. The eggs are rubbery and there is not any variety day-to-day. Everything else with our stay was good, but the water temperature issue kind of turned us off to wanting to stay here ever again and it ruined our time at the Hyatt House The Woodlands/Shenandoah. I hope you will make this right."
"The hotel is nice, apart from the housecleaners and the breakfast. I spent practically 2 weeks at this hotel. I used a coffee mug (both weeks) and they didn't take out the dirty one and put in a clean one. They didn't take out the trash from the previous day. They didn't replace the bath towel (I had to ask at reception - excellent service, btw). The breakfast doesn't change. It's always exactly the same thing. The taste of the fruits wasn't pleasant. All receptionists were awesome."
"Everything was great in this hotel. The only thing that I didn't like much was the breakfast. I spent 15 days there and every morning was exactly the same thing. Other than that, the receptionists are great. Super friendly staff."
"Evening crew were super friendly, the morning crew not so much. Also for one night stand we had to pay an extra $80 for two small 6 pound Maltese dogs altogether not really a $300 a night hotel. Will go back to the Hyatt centric or Hyatt Place in the Woodlands. Also, the shower was super moldy but we have to pay an extra $80 per cleaning fee. That just doesn’t sit well."
"Great hotel, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The rooms are well kept and clean, but it was obvious that they didn't change our sheets in between stays; asked the front desk for a new set and made the bed myself, hence the reduced star. Breakfast was good, parking is fine and they have a gym and pool both worth using."
