Bishop Arts Hotel

"Great place to stay. The room was ready on arrival, clean, quiet, easy to find. Style is modern and hip, but not lux. Parking is convenient, right behind the building. The only negative was that the wifi connection struggled and we couldn't work from the hotel."

"Absolutely terrible, opened our room (Unit 6) and was almost knocked out by the smell of Marijuana. Our 2 young daughters were with us so we immediately rung reception to try change rooms. We advised there was nothing available so we could either stay or cancel. Being later in the evening we had no choice, therefore we left all the windows open and went out for several hours. On returning the smell was still persistent but being almost midnight we had to stay. All 4 of us woke up with headaches the following morning and everything stunk. We immediately left to find another hotel and informed Bishops Arts that we were checking out and needed to be reimbursed for the remaining stay. We have not been refunded 1 cent from them even though we left the booking after one night. Will not respond to any communication. It even highlights in the rules on the bench that smoking marijuana will incur a cleaning fee, obviously kept the fee from the previous stay and didn't do a deep clean. Cannot express how bad an experience this was and the lack of service or acknowledgement."

The customer service was commendable, with staff showing responsiveness to inquiries and issues, ensuring that there were no significant complaints in this area. The room and was well-maintained, though a closer inspection revealed that areas like under the bed could benefit from more thorough cleaning. This oversight is understandable, given the potential for such spots to be missed during routine cleaning processes. Pros: The hotel offers good value for the price, especially when booking directly (hint hint). Its location is ideal for exploring Bishop, with all key locations within walking distance. Customer service is a strong point, with staff being helpful and attentive to guest needs. General cleanliness is maintained well across the hotel, contributing to a comfortable stay. Cons: Room 1’s proximity to the street led to noise disturbances from loud cars, on top of already existing issues with thin walls and noise from other guests. The neighbor was watching TV and it was as if the TV was in our room. Room-specific challenges included uncomfortable temperature control, poor WiFi connectivity, inadequate pillows, and a hard mattress, which collectively impacted the quality of rest and overall comfort. Future Consideration: Despite the drawbacks experienced in Room 1, there’s potential for a better stay in different rooms, particularly on higher floors which might offer a reprieve from noise and other issues."

"Loved my stay at Bishop Arts Hotel! I stayed in Loft 2 and it was so spacious, clean and comfortable for a weekend long stay. I felt the area was safe enough to explore around on foot and had great food and shopping options. The room had a missing blow dryer but the management team was so responsive to my after hours email and had one dropped off that same evening! Will absolutely be back!"

"We recently stayed at the bishop arts hotel for a mini vacation in Dallas, Texas. This place was wonderful, and we truly enjoyed ourselves. The room was well equipped and safe. The cleaning staff was present during the day if you needed anything. The bed was extremely comfortable and the full kitchen helped with light cooking needs. The bishop arts district is the place to be with restaurants, pubs, shops and anything you could imagine within walking distance. We plan to stay at the bishop arts hotel again on our next visit."
