Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dallas W - I-30 Cockrell Hill, an IHG Hotel

"I stayed in this hotel a year ago, so chose it again for this business trip. It has been nothing but a disaster. After driving 13hrs, got to the room to shower and the shower wouldn't shut off when finished. The faucet was coming out of the tile. The drawers on the dresser either wouldn't open or flat fell out. Both got and cold water handles leaked water excessively all over the counter. I immediately addressed it with the front desk. They did offer to try and fix it and gave us a different room to shower in in the morning. When the manager came up to look at the shower, he acted like I just didn't know how to do it (after he had fiddled with it for a little bit), which, I obviously tried to turn it off multiple ways before speaking with them. They gave me a discounted rate for one night and said they would have maintenance fix it all the following day. The following evening when I got back, the only thing fixed was the shower and tub faucet. The rest was still the same. After talking to them again, they moved us rooms, but refused any further discounts. The rooms are trash, they are working on the entry way and had workers pounding in floor shims at 330am which was extremely loud and went on for over an hour. All of the amenities are also not available and was not disclosed. Will not be staying here on the next business trip."

"There were some booking errors because of a third party booking. A great big thank you to Gene, who helped get us into our room while we sorted it out. He was super friendly and helpful! Staff at check out the next morning we're also very helpful."

"Room was clean and nice, staff was friendly. Walls (and floors) are paper thin though. My first night, I could hear the tv in the room next door and people walking around in the room above. The second night, multiple rooms up and down the hall were booked by young people having room parties. Doors slamming, people laughing and yelling, and the smell of weed smoke very literally kept me up until 3am. I called the front desk around midnight and was offered the chance to move to another floor, which I declined thinking the noise would die down soon. Staff did nothing about the noise or smoke. Also, my room key took almost 5 minutes to register in my lock, even after getting new keys from the front desk. They said it was probably a low battery in the door and maintenance could fix it on Monday. (This was Saturday) So….nice hotel but would probably not stay here again."

"Perfect accommodations for our weekend business trip. My husband and I flew into Dallas and had several meetings over the course of three days. This was the perfect place and location for our trip. Our room was much larger than I anticipated. We slept great and the breakfast was perfect for our needs. It even had bacon and the freshest bananas I've ever had at a hotel. :) The staff was great. Debra in particular was very helpful and understanding of our needs and intense schedule. They serve lemonade during the day, which was perfect for the hotter than normal October weather. To top it all off they had our favorite candy at the front desk! We definitely plan to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone."
