"I actually really loved my apartment here it was BEAUTIFUL!!! The maintenance man was very attentive to my request and didn’t make me wait days for repairs until…. I discovered a beehive inside my apartment and it took them almost 9 months to remove it. The entire duration of me living there I lived with a live beehive and dead bees in my bed and all over the apartment. They eventually fixed the apartment but it was the worst living experience in a new city I’ve ever encountered. Made me discouraged and not like the city anymore."
"Stay away, stay away, stay away! I've lived in this building for 2 years. Take my advice, FIND ANOTHER PROPERTY. The building is kept in horrible condition, there is constantly urine in the elevators, feces in the stairwell, Ive seen blood on the entryway doors, needles, not to mention mentally ill tenants, washers ALWAYS malfunction, and the dryers NEVER, EVER completely dry your clothes. Maintenance will literally take MONTHS to fix ANYTHING. Cars are broken into constantly, there are drug dealers who live in the building making transactions ALL during the night, there is homeless traffic inside, outside and behind the building. Homeless people manage to get inside the front door that never stays locked and sleep inside the entryway. I've encountered strangers inside the laundry room and also outside of my apartment door. The property manager, Carolyne, comes off helpful, but this is a front. She is extremely volatile, unstable, loud, confrontational, and aggressive. The guys in the office are great on the other hand. Please take heed & stay away-- A deposit special and low rent are NOT worth the headache."
"If I could give 0 that would be appropriate. Moved in from out of state. Lived on manslick rd apartments. Shaujaunda was fired thank god and other property managers, never had run in but heard they just as bad. This company is worse then Broadway management. My kitchen was dirty upon move in and appliances and floor was dirty and disfigured. Also management would enter without notifications. Bathroom was unsanitary and no shower could not bath because tub had mixture of paint and dirt. These people also claimed they would charge 30 days without notification of renewing my lease, this is no where in my contract. Also a move in inspection was not offered when I moved in. Also my property was vandalized and this was high crime invested area. Very dirty people through trash everywhere. I'm glad I found a house pls never go with this company"
"Where do I start with Denton Floyd? Me and my girlfriend signed a lease for one of the units of a house turned apartment in old Louisville in May of 2016. Here is a list of some of the horrible experiences we had with this company while living there: 1. The heating and air. During the summer the apartment would get to a blistering 85+ degrees at times because the air conditioning would only work about 2 days out of the week. Now in the winter time the apartment would get to around 55 degrees when the heat would also refuse to work. We called their maintenance lined CONSTANTLY begging for them to come take a look at our AC. 90% of the time they simply didn't answer the phone. The few times they actually agreed to come, the maintenance team as they called themselves would look at the unit for all of 2 minutes and say "No it works fine" and then leave. We were actually contacted by the central office and told to stop calling about the air. Our new landlords sent over actual maintenance men today and they fixed what was once a year long struggle in about five minutes. In short, Denton Floyd intentionally didn't do their job. 2. Bug infestation. During the summer our apartment became infested with fleas. We called them dozens of times telling them that we can't live in here with all of these bugs and when they contacted us back they said "We have heard from other tenants that you are keeping a cat as a pet, that's probably where they came from, therefore its your problem not ours" [SIC] I HAVE NEVER OWNED A CAT IN MY LIFE. They left us high and dry and we spent a month doing everything we could to finally get rid of all the fleas. 3. A raccoon was living in the attic. Constantly scratching in the night keeping us awake, I called once again trying to get them to send someone to maybe lay a trap or something. But as Denton Floyd tends to do, they said "There isn't an attic in your building, there can't possibly be a raccoon there." They don't even know their own buildings enough to know there is an attic right above us, and then they had the nerve to essentially call me a liar. In summary. Denton Floyd is the worst landlord(s) in all of Louisville, if you see their name attached to a property, turn and run and find somewhere else to live."
"I would give it -5 stars if there were an option. My best friend lives there and walking into the front door you're greeted with some terrible smells. The carpet in the hallways are disgusting, dirty and NEVER look vacuumed. The stair wells, oh my God! They're horrendous! The elevator (the WORST part of the building) smells like urine, bleach and sometimes Pine Sol mixed in. They truck young college kids into staying by promising to fix this and that (and NOT doing it!!), to put in security cameras (still haven't seen one, except the FAKE one they put in the elevator about 5-6 months ago!) Another friend of mine lived on the ground floor and had feces literally back up into his toilet, bath tub and over floor and got all the way into his bedroom, living room and kitchen. They didn't even clean his apartment! Not did they get him a place to stay while the clean up should've happened! I've just NEVER seen anyone conduct an apartment management service this terribly. They should be shut down by the health department in my honest opinion! And the elevator has a license in it that CANNOT be correct! The doors open before you even reach the floor! Dangerous and disgusting, BEWARE!"
