"PLEASE READ!! Amy was EXTREMELY condescending towards me and Unprofessional. I was admitted in the ER last night for pain and the last thing on my mind was calling or texting her regarding my hair appointment. However I did notify her in the morning before my appointment to let her know I needed to cancel and apologized about the circumstance. She proceeded to shame me about not telling her sooner. My health is far more important than rescheduling an appointment with you. After I told her my situation she said “Feel better” just to be passive aggressive and “this is my lively hood”. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL to guilt your customers. Shows you value money more. Zero empathy. I thank God I never gave her a dime of my money, and sure as hell never will. Also she sent me her house address which was not the same address as I saw on google, and she sent that minutes before the scheduled time and used 2 different numbers to text me. Very misleading and sketchy. You should show compassion for customers who are paying your bills. This conversation with her showed me all she wants is your money. Amy does not care about her customers just herself. Also when trying to book with her she was laughing and talking to someone about a party making me wait on the line. I was so disgusted with her unprofessionalism. Highly DO NOT recommend and will let people know to stay far from this place!"

"I paid $180 for Havana twist and this is what I got. Not including hair... she was on her phone laughing and talking in my ear for 7hours. I told her it's uneven and she said the long part is suppose to be up in a pony tail. One side is even thicker then the other. I cried when leaving her house. I would never return non refer anyone..."

"I saw the movie Jumping the Broom and wanted to get Senegalese twist, I searched for salons in the area and found Taru Hair Braiding. After my first appointment I didn't need to search anymore! The twists were absolutely beautiful, my neck wasn't sore, and despite the fact I got the small Senegalese twist way down my back I was out of the shop in 5 hours! Ms. Amy and her staff are very kind and welcoming. The previous place I was going to get my hair braided had an average wait time of 30-40 minutes not including the constant breaks in between (And these were scheduled appointments made two months in advance). I have never seen a customer come in and wait more than 3-4 minutes nor have I had to wait. There is always someone doing your hair! I can recall times where there were two people doing my hair and the final product was still amazing. All the braids were the same size and neat, and they didn't yank my head back and forth.They are very gentle with your hair and even afterwards you don't need to take a Tylenol! After they braid your hair they go through and cut the leftover pieces of weave that stick out, but not just taking the scissors and cutting the hairs on top. They are so detail oriented that they go through just about every braid! People are always asking where I get my hair done, and inspect my hair in awe (which is kind of annoying when they want to touch it, but it is talented work). Ms. Amy is very professional; she calls to confirm your appointment, she is very punctual, returns phone calls in a very timely manner, and gets you out of there quickly looking gorgeous. I've been going to Taru for 2.5 years and they are the only people I trust with my hair care, love them!"
