"Title: Disappointing Customer Service Experience at Walmart Electronics I recently had an underwhelming experience at the Walmart electronics department, where I encountered an employee named Elijah. As I was browsing through the aisles, a young boy mistook me for a Walmart employee and asked if I could assist him in unlocking a specific Lego toy, the Sonic edition. Politely, I directed the young customer to seek assistance from Elijah, an employee designated to the electronics department. Elijah, upon being approached by the young customer and myself, expressed his inability to leave his assigned station, citing company policy. Despite my suggestion of paging a colleague to help retrieve the desired Lego toy, Elijah firmly reiterated that he was unable to leave his post or make a call to summon assistance. This response left both the young customer and myself feeling disappointed and frustrated with the lack of flexibility and customer service exhibited by Elijah. As a frequent shopper at Walmart, I have come to expect a certain level of service and professionalism from the employees. Regrettably, Elijah's rigid adherence to his station and refusal to provide a viable solution to the situation fell short of the standard I have come to anticipate from Walmart associates. In conclusion, the encounter with Elijah in the Walmart electronics department was a missed opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service. I hope that this review serves as constructive feedback for both Elijah and the management team, and that future interactions with customers will be handled with more flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving."
"This particular store is managed terribly. It's in a location that receives a huge amount of traffic, and with it being the cleanest Walmart and closest to us, I frequently shop there. I'm also a "Walmart+" member, but I have yet to see the benefit of this service (which I pay for) while shopping inside the store. The MANY self checkout lanes this store has a frequently closed with only 4-5 open and the line to wait is ridiculously long. Front area supervision is often rude or unable to have conversation from lack of language barriers. I'm all for people coming here and getting work and jobs and bettering themselves. However, if you're going to hire them in positions of communicating with your customers and the public, they need to be able to do so. Not only are the multiple lanes and registers closed, but there's an entire lane that is for Walmart+ customers and those who use the "Scan & Go" function, where you literally are scanning and adding your items as you shop, allowing you a quick checkout process by scanning a QR code on the screen which pulls your order up, you pay, bag your stuff, and leave. THAT lane which is even clearly marked as "Walmart+ Members" has been closed on every visit to this store. What's the purpose? Why offer a lane and service for which you took out many registers for, and then keep it closed 100% of the time? I have seen it opened up when the line is 20 deep for the 4 self-checkout registers which are being allowed to use, and it appears to be very easy to open them up as I watched a manager simply swipe their work ID, enter a code and boom, the register was open. Pay attention. Your customers do not want to stand in 20+ deep lines when there are literally 20 self checkout registers not being allowed to be used. It's given me a very bad taste about this particular store which I've enjoyed using for a long time, but with your customers now mostly using self checkout lines, you can't use the "understaffed" excuse when your staff for payment and bagging is your customers themselves."
