"My family tried this place this past weekend; the service, food and atmosphere were amazing. The food was so delicious. I have to say that some of the plates look boring but the flavors of each item on the plate made up for it and then some. we weren't sure about the coffee, but I got cafe con leche and my husband and sister got cortados and we were thoroughly impressed. Between the three of us, we've visited pretty much every coffee shop in Houston and these drinks were on par with some if the best. Prices were very fair and the restaurant was very clean! I will be returning!"
"I have loved Cuban food since I was introduced in South Florida. I haven't had great Cuban since my Florida days... Until Now! I had the roasted pork, black beans& rice, and plantains. It was fantastic! I savored every bite. I'm hooked! Service was very good."
"Just finished eating and had to post this right away. The food was delicious and very well priced. I went with a recommendation from the employee (masitas) and it was perfect. I will definitely be coming back."
"Amazing! Just ordered the Ropa Vieja and Higado to go and my wife and I were stunned on how delicious it was. Great customer service, delicious food, this truly is Cocina de Dios. -Mario"
"Came here this afternoon with my brother, we really enjoyed it! I love Cuban food and am glad we have another restaurant in the area. We got the beef empanadas, bistec palomilla, and the oxtail. Like any new restaurant some things can improve such as the timing of plates coming out more close together, but the service was great! Would ask for the bistec a little rarer next time, but we ate and enjoyed everything and plan to return to try more. The plantains were delicious and the oxtail fell off the bone accompanied by a nice sauce. Will definitely bring my dad who loves Ropa Vieja and try that next. They also serve breakfast and lunch as well as dishes from Honduras which I am interested in trying. Edit 1/21/24: Returned with my parents, my dad and I got the Ropa Vieja (delicious!) and my mom got grilled shrimp. Had yucca frita as a starter. Main plates came out right around the same time, we enjoyed everything. The tostones that came with the shrimp (camarones a la plancha) were some of the best I’ve had."
