"I have a 27+ year old MB SL500, which I have owned for about 13 years now. I had the convertible top replaced around 11 - 12 years ago and it was never quite right. Early wear signs, creases in the plastic windows that shouldn’t be there and, what I felt, a poor fit. I was told by my SL buddies to go to nowhere else than Texas Auto Tops of Austin. I delayed until now and I’m kicking myself for not going sooner. Why? you ask… Well… They know what they’re talking about! They know the right top to get. They know how to fix issues like a couple of broken tension cables which were left in the system the last time I replaced the top. They have experienced Technicians and try to assign one and only one of their experts to each job. I also had my two seats recovered. The car looks awesome again and I am so very pleased with the craftsmanship Texas Auto Tops of Austin has. These particular SL’s are challenging to work on. Taking apart seats to recover is a lot like peeling a hardboiled egg, then putting the shell back on without losing or breaking pieces. It takes skill. Was quoted way more than the dealership and when you ask why, thinking there was a misunderstanding with the service request, you are told to go go with the dealership and they don’t do price match, when all you were asking is a review to make sure they understood what is wrong with the sunroof."

"These guys do quality work at a fair price! The sun roof in my car quit working and needed to be realigned. Parts were hard to come by so they worked to find a used sunroof track and utilized the best of my original unit together with this to get it working again. A friend took his convertible here after the Texas heat melted the glue on his top and recommended I see if they could help me out with my sunroof. I am so glad I did! Great communication as I waited for the parts to arrive, and the actual repair took less than a day!"
