"Me and my co-worker always come to this location to buy things for work, wood, paint, etc. This trip we got the usual items we needed but once we got to self check out the lady that was there standing watching everyone checkout approaches us and took over everything. At first i thought it was nice she was helping scan everything but i had to quickly take out a few items because we needed to do two transactions, one with our work card and one with our personal card. Once i did that and stated we were doing two transactions she seemed concerned and rushed me to another checkout and then scanned my items while my co-worker finished paying for the other transaction. Once she finished scanning my items and i started to pay she took my bags back over to my co-worker without saying anything. It was all very rushed/chaotic and i’m unsure why she acted like this with us but not with anyone else. When we were leaving she went back to her spot and just kept watching everyone else checkout. I have no problem if someone was watching me checkout of-course because that’s there job but to take over everything.. I'm surprised she didn’t just take my card and insert it as well. Time it happened 8:40pm, 2/29/24."
"A delivery was not completely right, needing only one additional but critical 2x10 if I was going to be able to continue my DIY project at my home. I called the store expecting that I was embarking on a long drawn out process that would ultimately end up in nothing but frustration. The person who answered the phone said that I needed to speak with the general manager of the whole store and that he would transfer me. I was expecting to get his voicemail, or worse, to be 'accidentally' disconnected. Instead, he picked up almost immediately. After explaining the situation, he asked when I needed it by and promised to get it to me. I was still skeptical, expecting to have to repeatedly call after no additional delivery. Instead, an assistant manager delivered the extra 2x10 one hour EARLY. Throughout the whole process I was treated like the most important customer of the day. Refreshing. There is a Lowes right across the freeway, a little bit closer to my house. It's Home Depot for me from now on. Way to go Home Depot. Mom and Pop service from a big-box store. Hard to pull off. Lee Holcombe."
"Nightmare appliance purchase. They sent out a third party for measurements (required to install built in appliances). This same third party was going to install after I ordered the appliances. I was told by Home Depot that the third party would reach out directly to schedule but they never did and my appliances have been sitting on my kitchen floor. Weeks go by and I contact the 1800 customer service number who contacts the local store manager. I get a call saying they no longer do business with this third party (never mentioned this to me) and I can find someone else to install the appliances. I ended up sourcing someone on my own. Overall poor communication, and a poor customer experience. I suggest going through costco, I had a great experience with them with my dishwasher."
"Military Discount process was pathetic. No phone with Home Depot app, no discount. Not even with military ID? Great.... I'll just go to Lowe's where I can scan my Driver's license for verification. I'll never go back to Home Depot. I do have a choice."
