"Don't order okra it's burnt can't even chew it. They replaced with sweet apples. Would of been better if it was a piece of pie. Waitress didn't even try to make it better. Wanted chicken fried steak but she said oh I can get you fried chicken with gravy. ...I thought that would be good. But it wasn't. Portion was one small fried chicken strip with gravy. Chicken strip with gravy and mashed potatoes for 13.73. sorry no tip."
"The food was barely warm. And the portions which are usually generous were small and disappointing. They were very busy and short on staff."
"** Don’t buy your Thanksgiving meals from here!** I literally had the worst restaurant experience ever at Cracker Barrel last night. I was trying to order online because I had somebody to pick it up for me. I had a gift card but it doesn’t give you the option to use your gift card when you order online every time I called to ask them about that they would put me on hold, and nobody would answer. So finally, I decided I would call and place my order. I called and they transferred me to curbside, but nobody answered. I called again, and they said they would transfer me to a person to take it to go order again, the phone just rang and rang. I asked to talk to a manager a couple times and the same thing happened. I’m a single mom, I’m trying to get everything together because I was going in for testing the following morning for a kidney transplant. I wasn’t supposed to eat after eight. Since I already wasted almost 2 hours, trying to get my order placed, I drove down there. I was been told I had to wait for somebody to come take my order and after standing there for 15 minutes, I asked for a manager. She came out and took my order. 45 minutes later, I received my food, but they told me that they were out of a few things. I had kids in the car, after waiting another 10 to 15 minutes I just decided to leave. They never brought the drinks. I started trying to order this food at 5:45 and we left Cracker Barrel at 8 PM. They told me that it was because the manager is doing the meals for Thanksgiving. I have three different orders that range from $150-$500. (I’m definitely canceling all three of my Thanksgiving meal orders. Considering the fact it’s gonna be a week old and judging by the quality of the food last night I’m not spending that much money on a Thanksgiving meal.) When I got home, I realized the desserts were missing, and a few of the sides were missing. The country fried steak didn’t have gravy. It was cold as a rock. Not to mention, some of my sides were still in pre-prepped bags, and not even warm, cold, as if they just came out of the refrigerator. One of the side items that I had to pay extra for because they were out Of what I ordered, the loaded sweet potato, the toppings were all on the outside of it, and stuck on the outside. I tried calling the store and asking for a manager. I was on hold for 12 minutes and then got hung up on. I called back twice and sat on hold again for another 10 minutes each time. The two guys at the register were very polite and very helpful besides that everyone else wasn’t even trying. It wasn’t even busy inside. So I don’t know what everybody was doing. The managers name was Saima Khan. After all the problems I was asking her if I could just cash out my gift card because I did not want to spend any more money there. I spent almost $100 last night to get treated like that and be missing almost $30 of my order? Probably one of the worst customer Service experiences ever! I worked for Cracker Barrel years ago, and this is totally opposite from the store I worked at. None of these people would be employed at the store I was at."
"First and foremost the biscuits are so soft! Absolutely love them with strawberry jam or with gravy it's absolutely amazing. I got the grandfather chicken fried steak and it exceeded my expectation, most places make their chicken fried steak dry but here it is cooked perfectly tender. Their pancakes are fluffy and crunchy on the ends. Their bacon is cooked perfectly crisp. Eggs were made perfect. The server as well was really kind and generous and provided excellent service. I'll definitely be back, had a great experience."
"My wife and kids took me here for an early Father's Day dinner since they know Cracker Barrel is one of my favorite American food restaurants. Restaurant was nice and clean. The only thing was the floor in the shop/checkout area was very sticky for some reason but other than that everything was nice. Our service however was not very good at all. Every other table next to us got biscuits as an appetizer upon being seated, we did not get any at all until our food came (and they were part of the meal). Our waitress was "Rosemary" who seemed like she didn't want to be there at all. Her service was very slow and even rude at times. She was also not very tech savvy and you could tell she did not know how to use the electronic menu pad to take the order. The other odd thing was my wife wanted to try the country fried pork chops (which according to their website is available on Saturday's only, which we were there on a Saturday), Rosemary had no idea what we were talking about. Instead of asking someone, she basically said "yeah don't believe what the website says". I had to get up twice and go to the kitchen window for things like syrup because Rosemary was never coming to our table to check on us. I thought the food was very good and very reasonable priced. I will go back, but I would definitely ask for a different waitress than Rosemary."
