"If I could give zero I would because this Dr is doesn't seem to understand about what it means to have compassion, kindness or empathy. Couldn't look me, my husband or my son in the eyes, kept looking away. Didn't shake our hands when he came in either. I was there for the results of my biopsy done on 1/3/24 from an ER visit on Christmas Eve due to severe nausea. This appointment with Ranganath was to find out if I had cancer and they didn't even know my results weren't in until I asked the nurse to look! He was unable to explain why the results weren't in but responded with "Uuuh we have someone here for that but maybe they're off today". Said he wouldn't charge me for the visit, since there were no results to go over, but did anyway. His staff doesn't seem to know what's going on either since the nurse told us we had to stay if I wanted him to call me the next day and that he would go over my blood work. When he didn't go over the blood work I mentioned what his nurse told us and he sorta huffed and logged back into his computer. When we left, he didn't tell us where we needed to go or anything. This was the first time in this office so we walked out to the first desk we saw. The staff were just standing around but wouldn't make eye contact until I asked where we needed to go. We waited over an hour for THAT. Appointment time was 3:15, we arrived before that time and were the last people in their waiting room. He didn't come in till around 4:15 to the room. I also don't understand why when they send you information about your appointment they send you to 8111 entrance. The rude person at the front desk there snapped "You have to go to the Cancer center, follow the signs" and pointed. Now, that day I wasn't feeling bad but I'm sure other cancer patients are! What a walk through the hospital if you were feeling bad only to get to the cancer center and see a PARKING LOT right by their doors. Do better. Than makes no sense. I spoke to one kind person at that office, Miranda, and now as of today she no longer works there I was told. She said she would tell the "big boss" about what happened and I asked for that number so I could call as well. I called twice, 3 weeks apart and still am waiting for a call back. Miranda suggested I tell Stephanie, the "big boss", about the emailed survey I filled out which I plan to do. I have some rare cancer called EHE and thank GOODNESS I was transferred to the Indiana University Hospitals. What a completely opposite experience!! THAT hospital knows how to ease your mind just by being KIND!! I don't know what has happened to Franciscan Health hospital but the lack of compassion or empathy with staff shows! Go check out their reviews!!"
