"Amy Ikerd has been my therapist for over a year. I was at a point in my life when I didn't trust therapist, and was so completely skeptical in believing I could achieve overcoming my biased. The more time I spent with her, the more I came to see that she is a professional with the capacity to genuinely empathize with her clients. It is my personal experience that she is trustworthy and appropriate for this particular feild of work. It takes so much for a person to come into an unknown environment and successfully achieve a sense of security and well-being. I have grown confident that she is the most trustworthy and helpful therapist I've ever had. If you are contemplating rather or not you would like to take that leap or not, and begin the process of healing, I encourage you to take the leap! Amy Ikerd will be there to meet you where you stand! Thank you so much for all your help, I can't possibly express my gratitude enough for the help you've provided me."
"While I've never used this company's service, when I reached out to them to look into setting up an appointment, they were very accommodating and worked through my needs. I felt very taken care of even though I was never one of their clients."
"Katy Feeser was very unprofessional and bias. She supports parental alienation and will mumble rudely under her breath if she disagrees with you. I have had no problems with anyone else at this location, but Katy seemed very uncomfortable to be around and very poorly trained."
"I felt very uncomfortable working with Christie Clayton in the last few sessions we had together. I sensed underlying feelings of anger coming from Clayton every time we hit a topic of conversation revolving around a traumatic even from my past. Clayton pushed me into very uncomfortable emotions as she set out to instill guilt on me with a sulky undertone when discussing this topic and added excessive pressure on me as I resisted and complained about her increasingly disdainful demeanor in her approach to those sessions. She was very stubborn to change her communication style, to take negative feedback on her practices, and to take responsibility for her role in the eventual breakdown of our clinical relationship which this predicament led to. She also insisted that my own resistance to her approach to our sessions was the only cause of this predicament, even though the mildly aggressive undertone that she used when expressing her point of view made it unreasonable for me to take anything she said as worthy of contemplation thereafter. She also said that my reactions to her damaging practices in our sessions were "narcissistic," even though her on-going disdain and denial towards my criticisms of her approach to our sessions [and it’s damaging effects on me] also reflected narcissism on her part. Clayton's on-going lack of faculty in handling this delicate matter in our sessions prompted me to file a report to the Attorney General for them to intervene. From letters I got from the agency, they took up the case and made an evaluation. I also learned that, even though they don’t have enough evidence to take legal action on this issue, they still have this case on file as they suspect that a violation of practice did take place in my distressful sessions with Clayton. In the many years I have been in outpatient therapy, I have never had a therapist make me feel as uncomfortable and distressed as I felt in the last sessions I had with Christie Clayton, nor have I ever had a therapist handle sessions with a contemptuous demeanor, a stubborn disregard for the consequences of her practices on a patient, and an overall irresponsible license. I discourage anyone seeking therapy from seeing Christie Clayton."
"Everything at Indy Counseling Professionals is great! Getting set up for my first appointment was easy, Barb at the front desk will greet you by name at every appointment, and it is a very comfortable home-like environment. Rachael is great. I leave every appointment with a sense of progress, and I know that over my few months of therapy I have a had definite improvement."
