"I would not give Buckingham & Associates one star. Insurance Fraud, Waste & Abuse definition : ,Fraud is when someone intentionally lies to a health insurance company, Medicaid or Medicare to get money. Waste is when someone overuses health services carelessly. And abuse happens when best medical practices aren't followed, leading to expenses and treatments that aren't needed. - People need to take action. Many of these reviews are deeply concerning."

"I drove all the way from Bloomington to find out they have the most convoluted charging contract I have ever seen from any provider of any kind (except, perhaps, hospital stays). Charges are nonspecific and you're not only responsible for any additional money they expect ABOVE what you're insurance pays them, but they charge stacking penalties until balance is paid in full. Fees are unclear and ridiculous. What if my insurance had not paid at all and I had to contest denial of coverage? Would it be refunded any fees or penalties once resolving insurance issues? Would I need to not only argue for care with my insurance but then add to it trying to recoup payment and fees from my own mental healthcare provider? Huge red flag. I have enough to deal with in seeking healthcare for my particular mental health soup. Any healthcare provider with the kind of reasoning that would produce such a process is not one I trust with my mental health. I walked out. I'd strongly suggest avoiding this practice if you have any complex concerns above needing someone to vent to about everyday woes and have the upfront cash to pay for the privilege."

"If I could give this office a negative star, I would. Giving them one star is being generous. The accounts receivable here is TERRIBLE. I had to keep meticulous tracking on payments and charges because they told me constantly (over the course of a year) that I owed them for visits that I had paid for. At one point, they owed me money! Here I am, 18 months after my son stopped seeing them, being asked for MORE MONEY for visits that I paid for. DO NOT GO HERE."

"I feel like Buckingham is the best therapy practice I've ever sought services with. The staff are exceptionally good listeners, warm, professional, polite and effective communicators. Every interaction I have with them, therapist or staff, has been a positive one."

"I'm very glad I reached out for help from this psychology group. I was dealing with a lot of life transitions, trying to get balanced and my counselor quickly figured out what I needed, and gave me stability, validation, and feedback as I needed it. He is very good at what he does, though very low key. I have recommended this practice. Of course, each person reaching out is a unique request, but as long as they are willing to participate and take responsibility for getting to a comfort level, the people at this clinic are doing a good job to assist. They are in my UHC Medicare network."
