"Starting with the good, I do think that Dr. McCormick tries to make an effort with her patients. She is willing to make changes and talk via email which is something most psychiatrists won’t do. On the downside, Dr. McCormick is fully unwilling to listen to what her patients have to say regarding treatment. I’ve been a psych patient for almost 13 years, so I’ve been on most of the basic medications. She wanted to go back and try some of them instead of prescribing something different. Which we did for over a year, ending with me feeling worse than I have in years. I explicitly said what I needed done and was still met with “I don’t know what you want me to do”. I was also told I was “giving ultimatums” and that she “doesn’t do well with ultimatums” when expressing that I was going to have to find a new doctor if she wasn’t going to start attempting to try something new. Maybe that makes me a difficult patient, but her approach is very “my way or the highway” and the way she dealt with me was negligent in my opinion. If you have anything beyond baseline depression and anxiety or require frequent med changes, I would NOT recommend."

"I have met with Dr. McCormick multiple times and was highly disappointed. She was consistently minimizing my feelings and was not open to any ideas but hers. It also felt like she was on the opposite team as me. She was using things I said against me in a way that made me feel uncomfortable. I won’t be coming back."

He took the time to make sure that he fully understood my situation and what I was looking to get out of our meeting. He asked important questions that had not even occurred to me rather than just blowing through the general questions like many doctors do. 5 stars."

"Loved the atmosphere! Dr. Stennett is very sincere, knowledgeable, and has a warm personality - he made it more comfortable to have an open dialogue about a lot I have trouble discussing typically. He tailors treatment per patient and I am pleased he took the extra time to make his diagnosis and it seems he truly wants what is best for his patients. Today, a lot of doctors are quick to make their diagnosis and immediately throw prescriptions at you - resulting in misdiagnosis and patients medicating with unnecessary drugs. I can say with confidence, Dr. Stennett, is not like a lot of doctors today and takes his time evaluating to make sure his diagnosis is accurate. He even refereed me to a therapist that is under my health insurance and someone who he is confident in for more of the talk therapy that I seek. If you can't tell by now, I recommend him to anyone seeking top-level psychiatric care."
