"The staff cares and is so knowledgeable, from nursing care, to doctors. Dr. Smith and Dr. Akanli are superior medical providers. They care about their patients and will not give up on finding the best care for them. We have had such a long journey with other doctors telling us "it's not my specialty" and then walking away. Dr. Akanli found us someone who could help when our daughter's needs weren't sleep/lung related and Dr. Smith had us in office so quickly to evaluate her case. We are working on treatment but my daughter has finally been "seen" by someone willing and able to help."
"Simply Amazing! Quick To Schedule Initial Appointment & Then Surgery Appointment, Thorough, Caring, Answered All Our Questions, Didn't Rush The Appointment, and All Staff Was Professional Yet Friendly & Conversational Which Was Nice. I'd Highly Recommend!!"
"Very nice, and professional people. They really care for my child, and any concerns I have. Would recommend highly. Sarah Steinke NP is amazing with Devin. He has behavior issues, and he didn't act out the whole time she was examining him."
"The surgery experience was great! The waiting room was spacious, comfortable and the staff was very accommodating. The hospital stay, and staff were good in the rooms as well but the food choices for a child with food allergies was horrible! He had a VERY limited menu and I had to go out and buy stuff so that he could eat something other than salmon (which he chose), a hamburger, and French fries. There are so many ways to accommodate food allergies that aren’t unreasonable. There are 5.6 million children with food allergies in the US, he cannot be the first patient with life threatening food allergies at the hospital. The time that the cafeteria was open shocked me also. On the weekends it’s only open until 2pm and closes each night at 7 I believe. As a single mom taking care of a post op brain surgery patient the last thing I want or should have to do is go out and find food for myself at any time. There is a snack area that’s open all the time but it requires badge access to enter. This was VERY frustrating since his surgery was on a Friday so we were there for the weekend and we live 3 hours away. Thankfully I had family that had come to stay with me so I was able to stay with my child while they got food for us. As a parent helping care for a child, we don’t eat at normal times so when I was able to get a break to eat lunch at 2ish, the cafeteria was already closed. I did love the bath area on the pediatric floor for him to be able to take a bath. He prefers a bath over a shower and wasn’t able to wash his hair or get his incision wet so that was incredibly helpful."
