Hampton Inn Madison Huntsville Airport

"It's difficult to see coming from the east. A large cockroach in the room. Missing 2 light bulbs. The front desk wouldn't give us the bulbs because Maintenance had to replace them. Went out to eat. Came back to a dark room with no light bulbs. Was out the next day and returned to no light bulbs. Went back to the front desk and a different girl. She gave us bulbs, apologized, and commented that there was no note for maintenance. The ice machine was broken. Had to get ice on another floor. No ice or water in the dining area."

"I’ve stayed at other Hampton Inn’s, and this one was terrible. The bed was hard, and it had the wrong size sheets on it. The pillows were like the low-end pillows you get at Wal-Mart with the kind of stuffing you put in a small dog’s toy, and they were also twin-size pillows (possibly smaller) for a King-sized bed. The top cover felt like sand paper. The temperature went down the weekend we stayed, so we turned on the heat to a low 70, and at night, it kept changing from heat to what felt like the AC kicking on throughout the night without us moving the thermostat again. Sleeping both nights was so rough that even melatonin didn’t help much. I woke up multiple times at night. The shower ran cold unless you turned the knob more than 360 degrees. The only decent part about the stay was the breakfast."

"During my stay in room 129, I encountered an issue with the shower. The shower pressure was excessively high, causing the handle to shoot up and fall, making it difficult to use. Additionally, I chose this hotel because it advertised airport transportation. However, upon attempting to use this service, I was informed that it was only available from six to nine in the morning. Had this limitation been clearly stated on their website, I would have made a different reservation. Unfortunately, I had no alternative at the airport, and I had to resort to using an Uber to reach the hotel. This experience left me feeling stranded, and I am compelled to give a one-star rating."

"This visit was absolutely great! Needed a place to stay while my A/C unit was being replaced. Hugh at the front desk helped me from check in to check out. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was great! I had an issue with my room and the front desk promptly moved me to another room, no questions asked. The entire staff here was friendly and professional throughout my stay. I would recommend this location to any and all that are coming to the Huntsville area for both business and pleasure."

"I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were nice and efficient. The rooms were clean and neat with a refrigerator, microwave and iron with ironing board. The breakfast was good and well stocked. The location is near restaurants and close to I565 but not too close. I would definitely recommend this hotel."
