Quality Inn

"Oh Lort, give me grace while writing this review and let me shine your everloving light on the conditions in this misguided establishment. My husband and I were sorely tested during our attempt at rest and reprieve. We had traveled in that day from Atlanta and lost our car key fob at the Huntsville Space and Rocket Center. For a little more than $650 dollars, the kind folk of Huntsville towed our car and sold us a new, coded key fob so we could reach our hotel as quickly as possible. During this ordeal, we were treated to southern smiles and tongue clicks of sympathy. When we finally arrived at this Inn, you can imagine that we had high hopes of our new Huntsville/Madison neighbors. But oh friends, we were not embraced with the Huntsville love we had come to know at all! As my sciatica flared and traveled its evil path along my hip and leg, I wanted nothing more than a quiet evening with my beloved. Now, there are 3 positive things to say about this experience, and here are 2 of them: First, the very sheets of the bed were clean and comfortable and second, the tv worked just as fine as it should have. I’ll save the 3rd positive thing for the end of this review, because it will be more appropriate at that point as you will see, my dearest fellow traveler. Back to the room we go: we were forced to call the front desk almost immediately for a broken lavatory. A lovely man came quickly to our aid and was able to (mostly) resolve the issue, but I tell you we took particular care from then on whenever we had to “take it to the hoop”, as they say. That lavatory wobbled and rocked like my mother’s arms. And my eyes! My eyes saw the most disturbing things not meant for a southern lady of my advancing age. Peeling, squalid wallpaper, hospital tape securing the rust-trimmed safety mat in the bathtub, a dripping tap to drive you into lunacy, and little curlies here and there, reminding us that we had not been the only cherished visitors in that place. Take respite in the main room, you say! My darlings, we tried. On the very comforter we found what may or may not have been discarded, sprayed blood drops from a misfortunate person’s arm syringe. While my heart prays for comfort for such tortured souls, my body does not wish to absorb the outcast of their fluid. Our smoke alarm had been wrenched violently from its post on our wall and was discovered in the freezer of our mini-fridge. The hair dryer, we unplugged, as it appeared to have had a struggle with the outlet itself. There was no coffee for the forlorn coffee maker. By the time we settled gingerly on the bed, we were so fatigued from the effort and vigilance it took to make our room comfortable, we shared a candy bar and some Sunkist for our evening repast and fell asleep, holding each other’s hands for solace. Our fading eyesight unwilling to travel great distances in the dark, we had no choice but to wait until God’s morning sun shone upon that humble parking lot. Fortunately, and despite all odds, we HAD slept at least long enough to restore our energy. And here, my friends, is the 3rd positive experience about our stay. Just before we went to bed, we had been standing outside our door and were able to second-hand inhale the smoke of our hotel neighbor’s pungent Mary Jane tea. The brief inhalation of that sweet ganja must have lulled us into sleep so we were able to go forth the next morning and make our way back home with new resolve. It is for that glorious boost, the speediness of the man who administered to our lavatory, and the other 2 aforementioned reasons that I give this place of business my 2 little stars. I will also give an honorable mention to the front desk clerk who put up with us and many other guests that night. She was composed and apologetic even in her dire job conditions. To my friends and travelers, thank you for your patient attention. To the Madison, AL Quality Inn, do better."

"I Used to enjoy staying at the Quality inn but I'm not sure what in the world has happened to this place! Since they have new owners, that dont have good customer service and the place looks like a damn junk yard all around but they are cutting trees down? I guess they are to cheap to hire help to keep the place clean and nice . It is trash everywhere on the property, every time it rains the direct TV quits working and you have no TV. Quality Inn really has went down hill! I'm so disappointed! Oh and The ice machines, and the washer and dryer are broken.. I wish they would get it back together!"

"I visited this hotel which I booked online. Arrived at the hotel and the clerk provided a room which was not accessible as the door did not work. I came back and she assigned another room and the room was not clean. Came back a third time where she made a call and provided me a third room which was occupied. After the frustration of going back and forth all she could tell me is they don't provide refunds. No other solution provided, for this facility to be located in one of the most upscale areas of Madison Alabama on Madison Blvd across from the Best Western is sad and disturbing. The facility is so called under renovation and the owner or management don't seem to care about potential patrons and their comfort. I've never seen anything like this, if you plan on traveling and need a nice hotel please avoid this one at all cost!!! Please avoid the only reason for the 1 star is that I could not select a zero across the board."

"Scam alert !!!! The front desk staff is extremely unprofessional, rude & scammers. They ran our card without our permission several times & we had already paid. They are liars, messy, money hungry & scamming people. We had a rate that was locked in, but they always said we owed more money, which was a scam. They brag about overcharging people if they don't like them. Keep your receipts to cover yourself & prove that you don't owe a balance. They will call the police, lie & say you haven't paid. The room was outdated, in horrible condition, flithy carpet, mildew in the bathroom & roach infested. Save yourselves the drama & go somewhere else. You have been warned!!!!"
