"After a long application process (no fault of management) I was excited to finally move in. Alyssa was very accommodating to my move in needs, which was very appreciated. *From there things took a bit of a turn* First, and this has been mentioned in another review- it is loud. The walls are thin and you will receive noise complaints for just doing every day normal things. If extra noise drives you crazy, DO NOT move here. As tenants we do have the right to quiet enjoyment but I’m not really sure how that can really happen here. The thin walls and the design of the apartments make that virtually impossible. Not only this, but I have been dealing with the tenant underneath me who began banging on my ceiling every time she perceives I’m being too loud, when I’m simply doing tasks like cleaning or cooking. I can hear her shouting obscenities towards us through the bathroom vent, all sorts of names and threats. This same person has 2 small dogs that bark most of the day and she can be heard having her surround sound TV turned up throughout the night or extremely loud rock music to the point where I have resorted to recording some of the incidents if for some reason I need it for later evidence. I have to have my fan on in my room every single night to drown out the noise, which has led to my energy bill going up. I have reached out to management on a few occasions regarding the issue with this tenant but have yet to receive any formal follow-up. Next, groundskeeping/exterior maintenance could improve. There is frequently trash left strewn about on the grass or in the parking lot for days/weeks. At some point, someone’s trash must have broken at the bottom of the stairs in the grass and instead of the contents being cleaned up it sat for at least 2 weeks just rotting there. There’s also a hole that is punched into the wall in the breezeway of my building on my floor that has been there since before I moved in, doesn’t look like there’s any plans to patch it up. The 3rd week In the complex was flooded with police cars for a couple of hours, multiple kids seem running from the cops who had weapons drawn. I’m not sure what was going on but it was very stressful for myself and my 13 YO daughter. None of the residents got any kind of follow up on the situation that could have helped to put us at ease- were these kids armed? Were they all detained? Should we be in the look out for anything? Nothing. In addition there have been multiple shouting matches and arguments by other residents that can be heard echoing throughout the apartment complex on a regular basis, day or night. Also, a small but important detail— if you do decide to move here, make sure you put your parking pass on your car right away. My car was towed the first night, from a long day of moving attaching my tag on my window was the last thing on my mind, then woke up to find it gone. This small fact should be made clear upon move-in. You will be towed without it and have to pay a $225 fee to get your car out of the impound. Overall the interior of these apartments is what Drew me in, for the monthly rent and the location it’s hard to find apartments in the area that are this updated however the other issues do make me regret my decision to move here. If I were you I’d really consider another option if you’re looking for a quiet more family friendly place to live."
"We've lived here for over 4 years and have never had an issue that wasn't resolved immediately. Alyssa in the office is always sweet, friendly, and helpful, Jackie the manager is very kind and efficient, and Justin from maintenance is friendly, hardworking, and went out of his way to make sure I was informed and comfortable regarding a furnace repair."
"Lived here for a couple months but the staff and maintenance is excellent! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new home. Alyssa is great and very accommodating and their treatment is amazing."
"Recently moved in and had a pest issue. The office staff acted quickly and sent out griffin pest solutions. They even offered me another unit in another unit building free of charge. The staff are very accommodating, even if it's something out of their control. Jackie is a really nice property manager and I've heard negative about previous managers. So she clearly does care about her job and her residents. It's unfortunate there was a previous pest issue. But overall the community is nice here and staff are very friendly."
"Been living here for 3 1/2 years and it has been great. Pros: Close to highway entrance Plenty of food/grocery options nearby Downtown is less than 5 minutes away Fire department is nearby in case of emergencies Maintenance is honest/helpful if something needs to be done that they can’t do they will be upfront and get professional help if needed Cons: Can hear traffic every now and again Can hear people going up and down stairs but only if close to the main door Limited laundry space/availability All in all, it’s been great living at The Landing"
