Southview Apartments

"The apartment itself has been mostly great for the 3.5 years I was here. I felt like I had enough space for a single person and had all the amenities I wanted. Third floor is way to go with no one above you (nice with the balconies) and enough trees to provide some privacy. My problem has been with the people in the surrounding area. There are A LOT of sketchy people and I have actually witnessed many crimes. I’ve called the police several times over actual fights or physical threats made in the parking lot between people and a car being broken into. Packages were stolen off the porch and even by the people in the building. I saw drug deals in the parking lot. I’ve made multiple noise complaints over neighbors playing loud music throughout the night and management never did anything. Same people were stealing packages, had random strangers living with them all the time, littering and smoking in the hallways, etc and management could have easily evicted them and they didn’t. Also the emergency maintenance number/after hours noise complaint number is a joke and I’ve had them either never answer the phone, or tell me they can’t help me. DO NOT LIVE HERE IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH SMOKING. This is a smoking friendly complex and that was not made aware to me prior to moving in and all you can smell in the hallways and sometimes in the apartment is cigarettes and weed. Besides management not caring about any complaints about neighbors, they are pretty good about responding to emails. I did have cockroaches in the apartment not long after moving in and after a few treatments that the complex provided I never saw them again. They are all over the place with rent payments though. The online payment system is ridiculous and will charge you a $25 fee for credit card and even $4 if you do direct deposit from your account. I would send in checks to avoid all the fees. They once told me the incorrect amount for rent and then tried telling me I have an outstanding balance after I paid what they told me. The office staff is very forgetful and will send email after email about things that you have already discussed with them."

"Slow response time, terrible communication and barely answer emails.I was set to move in a few weeks after being approved in august, but I changed my mind because i had to wait over a month to even see an apartment. then after that I haven't received a date to view it. so i said i'm good i found a different place to live."

"Lived there for a year on a lease. When my lease was almost over I wanted to renew the lease they didnt have a office so I was told I would have to make a appointment for them to bring me one to sign. Guess what they never brought me one so they increased my rent from $630 to $780 a $150 increase for not having a lease. Thats a lot for a 1 bedroom. My oven was broke for over a month just days before I was to move out they replaced it."

"Worst apartments I've ever lived in. I would never recommend this place to ANYONE. Unless you're a fan of black mold and spiders. I'm suprised I havent gotten sick. If I could put ZERO stars, I would."

"Usually I will only write a review if I have something positive to say but this complex Is the worst ever. I moved in and in less then a month I was being eaten alive by bed bugs. I knew that I had not brought them there because my bed was new and most of my things had been in storage. I also found out my next door neighbor's apartment was being treated for bed bugs. Once the bed bug situation was handled, I found roaches. In the fall/ winter, I found a mouse in my apartment. Needless to say, as soon as my lease ended, I moved. The office staff were very helpful, as soon as I called they scheduled to have someone come out to exterminate. They were very diligent about making sure the problem was addressed. That's why there is at least 2 stars. The problem is the owner(s). Never have I seen such utter disregard for the living conditions of others! Just because tenants have limited financial resources, doesn't mean they shouldn't have decent housing. The buildings are old AF and falling apart! The walls are thin and there isn't enough parking. They finally brought in a second garbage bin Because it couldn't hold all of the trash... Flies were everywhere"
