"Regrettably, my recent stay at the Amway Hotel fell short of expectations. Despite booking directly with a Hilton agent and requesting a renovated unit on a high floor, I was assigned to the Pantlind tower, currently undergoing renovations. The evident signs of neglect in this tower, seemingly untouched for at least a decade, were disheartening. The room, though equipped with a flat TV and new lamps, lacked the expected modernity and comfort. The bed, I would described as firm as a rock, proved to be unsuitable for side sleepers. Additionally, the cramped bathroom barely allowed the door to open fully, marking it as one of the smallest I've encountered. While the hotel boasts a favorable location and various bars, the overall value for the price paid was not commensurate. I would like to highlight the stark contrast with Marriott, conveniently located nearby, offering similar pricing but consistently delivering more comfortable accommodations. I understand the ongoing renovations, but for the premium price, I anticipated a more satisfying experience. The only saving grace was the enjoyable time spent at the speakeasy bar. I offer these detailed insights in the hope that they contribute to an enhanced guest experience at the Amway Hotel in the future."

"Was there with my husband for a marriage retreat & the stay was lovely. Location, staff & valet service was great. Room was clean & bed & pillows were extremely comfortable. Only reason for 4 star was a frig was provided but wasn't listed in description (unless I overlooked) but a microwave would have been nice for leftovers. Overall really nice room & beautiful hotel. Look forward to staying there again."

"They charge for water but the views were nice and we enjoyed being close to downtown. There isn't a breakfast "included" option, we found out, but they did give us a gift card to Wolfgang Puck Kitchen Counter. The omelets were awesome, albeit pricey. We stayed for 2 nights over New Years and had a great family time."

"Had never heard of the Amway (a GR area company) but was very pleasantly surprised. Great lobby, shops that were refreshingly interesting and fun to shop at, and a great selection of restaurants and bars from simple to extravagant. Rooms were very nicely appointed. Will definitely be staying here next time in GR!"

"My family comes to this hotel every year around New Year’s Eve. The staff is always incredibly kind and efficient. We have always been served with a smile from the time we park our car with the valet staff to the front desk and to any restaurant or bar in the hotel. My family was devastated to see that the “Updates” That have been happening have stripped all of the elegance and the luxurious feeling when walking down the hall and opening the door to our suite. Not only were the walls painted a cold and uninviting dark gray color, the artwork placed in the rooms was no longer a classy old money style but a trashy Vegas feel. The details of the Suites prior to this update were warm, inviting, lavish and over all more deluxe. The beautiful heavy drapes over the windows are now replaced with thin curtains. No more beautiful wooden Desk. No more beautiful wooden room divider. No more sophisticated style. I would say that the only nice upgrade in the room was the large sectional couch to be able to visit with family more comfortably."
