"June 30th to July 4th 2018, HEAT Wave Hell. City Fathers / Grand Rapids Housing Commission, poor planing and gross mismanagement of Real Property and Grounds. Saved so much money it will cost millions to restore and repair . Senior and elder should have better. Management changes have not been in best interest of poor citizens residents. ***2023*** Mount Mercy Apartments, GRHC, Unhealthy indoor air temperature and quality. Common areas windows and or doors prompt open, affecting the effectual HVAC of both buildings (1425 & 1511). Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning. Smoke from Canada's forest fires, air quality and extremely Hot Humid Temperature, let alone the indoor, against federal rules, smoking of whatever substances. PLEASE NOTE at the upcoming house meeting that poor planning and mismanagement of all property is not an independent individual tenant responsible or decision but that of trained staff and informed management sources. ***** Thank-you."
"My mother stays here and she's 71 years old and is basically disabled. I helped move her into her new place and it WREAKED of cat urine! They did nothing... Now it's many years later and there is an extreme pest problem on the entire floor she stays on, and guess what - they're doing NOTHING! I'm reporting them to the state and also making reports for elder abuse. I suggest everyone to do the same, as well as contacting state reps and congressman/senators. Calling local news stations is also a good option and is what I will be doing. The staff just doesn't care and the place is filthy and stinks all throughout the building. SHAME on them for not keeping up this place for our elders and people with special needs. This is just one of MANY examples of how our system is corrupt and doesn't care about its own citizens. If you're looking for a place to stay, avoid this place at all costs!"
