Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Detroit Troy

"Very helpful young man on checkin. Would say one of the cleanest hotels when we arrived, not a speck of lint on rug. Very nicely renovated, 7 yrs ago, looks fresh. Did not know about only 2nd night housekeeping, u derstand it, but should post this, as in bathroom sign, throw towel on floor if you want new one. Breakfast so so, average USA hotel fare, coffee in room 1/2 of water woke us up. Would return."

"Nice hotel, with even better staff/housekeeping. Plenty of parking, quiet, plenty of breakfast choices, etc. I can easily recommend it."

"The lady at that works at the hotel front desk is rude and has a snotty attitude, she also kept setting my money on the counter instead of handing it to me! Other than that I love to bring my children here they get free breakfast and get to go swimming the pool is open until 10pm but if your behaved they will extend for an hour which is great the rooms were clean but the bed was not so comfortable, this I am honest review !"

"This hotel was in a very nice area and close to everything. 20-30 minutes to downtown and a few other places we frequent while in Michigan. Staff(housekeeping, front desk and maintenance) were very friendly especially Blake at the front desk. Blake made us feel welcome and was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Very clean with a cute little pool, nice hot tub to relax in with strong jets, and a comfy outdoor patio. Seems like the staff did a great job keeping the place clean. The only con was that the suite was pretty small, but still clean. We will stay here again if for a reasonably priced stay."

"It's clean, modern and close downtown Detroit and a number of shops, including the swanky Somerset Collection. The rooms are comfortable and I enjoyed using the hot tub in the evening. It's nice to have breakfast in the morning and there's fruit, yogurt, waffles, cereal, toast and a selection of other hot items. One thing to note is that they only clean the room every other day. Apparently, all Marriott locations are no longer cleaning the rooms daily and you have to ask if you want yours cleaned. Otherwise, expect to reuse your towels and make your own bed."
