"This Marriot is conveniently located next to I-75 for easy access to all the surrounding areas. The hotel is nice. The rooms are small. We were even upgraded to a larger king room on the concierge level. The disappointment was in the club lounge. Evening there was nothing but cheese and crackers. The drinks were 9.00 a piece. Went the bar and got cheaper drinks. Breakfast was a little better but not great. Staff is excellent and took good care of our needs. This hotel is oriented for business travel. Everything is geared for the Sunday through Thursday traveler. We were there for business so it was good. The bar is hoping at night."

"I booked a room with a king bed a month and a half in advance, and this place decided to downgrade me to 2 queens and no tub without informing me at all. The room itself was fine, but the way they went about the change without even informing me until I discovered it myself was annoying. After questioning the front desk they stated "sorry, we don't have any kings available", regardless of the fact I had a receipt for the booked king bed room on hand. The gentleman that checked us in initially was very nice however, and the staff in the lobby were very helpful regarding any inquiries."

"Stayed here for a few nights after a last-minute change in plans and the staff was kind and helpful; rooms are updated and comfy; housekeeping was prompt and really friendly! Had a little goodie bag of snacks and waters in our room with a handwritten note from one of the GMs too. Arriving late, this was a welcome surprise to have a “no fuss” experience. By the way, the Gym here is amazing! It had several treadmills, a Peloton bike, and a weight rack/Cable pulley machine. Was definitely a welcome surprise for me and my husband!"

"Nice hotel and comfy but their representative team seems to have one person who doesn’t know their job and is stressed all around for no reason. I asked a rep if my tier level was showing up and immediately she met me with the “is there a problem?” Couldn’t find my food voucher and was met with resistance (even though their concierge was Discussed it after with her and pretty sure I was called something less than ideal as she walked away. People have bad days and then there are those that set the tone of your business and stress out other workers as well. She should find a new line of business that fits her energy. Great hotel, one bad egg."

"I recently stayed at the hotel this week to see a few clients. I arrived mid-day, and I was pleasantly surprised they let me check-in early. I'm always apprehensive about using the mobile key because it never works for me, but it did this time. When I arrived in the room it was spotless, and had a fresh clean smell and appearance. I was also please to find a hand written note from the manager thanking me for staying there, with a couple bottles of water, and a few snacks, which were a much appreciated touch. The next morning I had breakfast in the restaurant on the 1st floor, and the staff was so pleasant. I wish I could remember her name, but the lady who served me was so kind and pleasant to talk with. This will be my go-to when I travel to Detroit."
