"Waited 2 hours in the ER, they let several people that came in after me in before me even though we stressed my surgeons office told me to come right away thinking I had blood clots and could have a stroke. Left them after STILL not being seen after everyone after me was seen. Reed City ER brought me back INSTANTLY, I have blood clots more than 5cms long. They treated me completely different compared to big rapids. Only thing different between me and the patients let in before me was I AM BI-RACIAL. literally people who walked into the ER with sprained ankles got brought back before someone (me) hours away if not minutes from a stoke. They WILL BE HEARING FROM MY LAWYER and getting a formal complaint from my surgeons office. CHOOSE REED CITY HOSPITAL"

"One nurse named Gail who it seems is close to retirement age acted like I was a bother when I was in there for pneumonia. She did absolutely nothing, no questions, no offers of Tylenol, no suggestions, nada when I told her I was feeling worse one night. She didn’t even write it in my notes according to another nurse. Everyone is overworked on the second floor, you’re in for a long wait if you want or need anything. My daughter called the hospital multiple times in a 24 hour period to speak with a nurse because she had questions about my diagnosis and care that I couldn’t answer. You would think a nurse could take 5 minutes to call her back at some point but no, no one returned her call my entire stay or after. Nurse Gail knew about this, i didn’t bring this up to her but she brought it up to me saying she doesn’t have to take calls from families when she has patients that come first. That’s fair but I’am your patient and why did you feel the need to tell me that when I didn’t even bring it up? Then she asked me what my daughters questions were and I told her she would have to talk to my daughter to know because I wasn’t sure. One day the cleaning lady named Nancy came in my room around 7:00 am to clean apparently. But she came empty handed, meaning (no cleaning supplies or rags. She immediately signed her name and the day’s date that the room had been cleaned by her as soon as she walked in my door. Then she proceeded to my bathroom never bothering to turn on the light, and after about 10 seconds walked out and I never saw her again till the next day. The next day wasn’t much better, three to maybe four minutes at the most were spent on ‘cleaning’ my room and bathroom. I have no confidence that these rooms and bathrooms are being cleaned properly. They need to do better. One example too is, don’t wipe the counter down with the same rag you just wiped the sink out with. Edit: I would like to add that it would have been nice if they carried snacks on the floor for diabetic patients that are appropriate for hunger between meals. Because they don’t have anything on hand that’s has a substantial amount of protein. Even an Atkins bar would help, and cheese, peanut butter or Greek yogurt. Since you’re not getting room service from the kitchen if your doctor has you down for ‘diabetic diet.’"

"Yesterday was my first time here for an ultrasound on my right leg,Jessica was very nice and answered some questions I had and then today I had my first mammogram, I was a bit nervous but Erica put me at ease and was a sweetheart and was Michelle when I first checked in. Overall I would give my experience a 5 star"
