"the worst part living here was probably living with an insane roommate who needed to seek clinical attention as she threw a table at my other roommate, threatened several times, and overall caused several issues crossing boundaries. the office also failed to help this situation and seemed to have favoritism which i found pretty discriminatory among myself and the foreign exchange student who also resided there. a close second is the management. the communication is extremely poor across the whole office. subleases not being advertised, emails and phone calls completely ignored, utility fees not communicated and posted in january for months of last year even after communicated that I was all set and had completed all due charges. also the promised amenities are for show.. the elevators barely work.. always down. doors are often broken and not taken care of right away. this also creates a security issue as people can enter the complex without the fob. the yoga room is a joke the lululemon mirrors haven’t been set up still and it’s been almost a year. and all the rooms have a distinct smoke smell that is impossible to get rid of. when i moved out, all of my items had a horrible stench of smoke. the parking garage is horrible. the gate is broken, limited guest spots. cars broken into, scratched, hit in the garage all the time and the security cameras conveniently are never catching the assailant. the trash room is disgusting constantly gets stuck because the trash chute is extremely small and fills up quickly. the office would blame this occurrence on residents rather than unloading the full trash chute at a timely manner due to its ineffective small size compared to the amount of residents. the build up of trash attracts several bugs that get into the already dirty hallways. the first time I saw someone vacuum the carpet in the hallway after moving in was after 2 months living there. there was spilled oats in the hallway for 2 months that I saw every time I walked in/out of my apartment. new trash valet system a mess, often times residents trash gets neglected and not picked up which leads to unaccounted fines. my toilet had extremely hot water for a few days at one point and the maintenance manager told me they needed to put a hole in my bathroom wall because during construction they put the wrong pipes for hot and cold water. poorly constructed building.. super unorganized and unprofessional complex overall.. 0/5"

"I would like to clarify that I personally don’t live here but I visit almost every weekend to see my girlfriend who does live here. There are always problems, whether it’s guest parking (I park at Wawa 5 minutes away by the way), elevators broken, and recently they had a fire alarm going off for most of the night starting at 3am and is still going on and off throughout the night in 30 second intervals. There is even a group chat with some of the managers of the complex and yet they still never inform anyone as to what is going on with these fire alarms nor does anyone in charge try to stop them from going off all night. If you enjoy blaring fire alarms all night long you’ll love this apartment complex, if not I probably wouldn’t recommend."

"The worst place you could ever live at. The day we moved in we found out over six things in our apartment not counting individual appliances, came broken. It took them over a month to address the problem, and actually begin fixing it. they did not make enough parking for all of their residents and are doing nothing to solve the problem or be helpful towards the residents who have nowhere to park and nothing to do. The management has been completely disrespectful and rude towards every single resident that has needed help or has had a problem. Our outlets weren’t working so maintenance came in and removed the drywall and had the wire sticking out of the wall, they left it like that for weeks, and when we went to management to ask, they said there was nothing they could do. We told them it was not safe for the wires to just be sticking out of the walls and to have holes in our walls especially when a hurricane is coming and they told us sorry they can’t do anything. my roommates sink was leaking for three weeks and they wouldn’t fix it. The shelves in my closet on the wall came crashing down because they didn’t level it correctly. My roommate didn’t have her room key and they told her there was nothing they could do to find it or help her that she probably misplaced it although she never got one in the first place. there was an outbreak of maggots in the apartment complex because they didn’t address the problem of the trash. This place is not what they made it seem to be and if you sign a lease here you’ll be making a horrible mistake."

"PARENTS BEWARE. The 9 at Central is the most unethical company in the area. Most landlords take advantage of our kids with crazy fees however Asset Living who manages this apartment building has developed a tactic that makes students pay excessive fees in the most disgusting way. On your lease take a look at paragraph 3. Resident agrees, as provided herein and in the lease agreement, to pay $ 823.65 (an amount that does not exceed 2 months’ rent) as liquidated damages or an early termination fee if Resident elects to terminate the lease, and the Owner waives the right to seek additional rent beyond the month in which the Owner retakes possession in exchange for this liquidated damage. The Asset Living does not check parents credit like the others. Instead it gives the contract to inexperienced young adults and later chases after them pressuring them to pay. Its the most disgusting and low tactic. Kendra Hooks the community manager is a pro she seems to enjoy taunting students and parents alike. Its hard to even call and find someone to talk to. Kendra does not even have a direct line in her role as community manager. Messages are never returned, they know what they are doing DO NOT LET YOUR CHILD RENT HERE ITS A TOTAL SCAM. Reply to the owner since Google Does not provide reply button: Let me state what is obvious to us parents, these are inexperienced kids, and you are trying to rationalize taking their hard-earned money. Your heartless rationalization and condescending tone does not compensate for the fact that my daughter and many other students like her have to work for months to pay a fee for a service they never received. These unfair policies that The Nine Building has created is well-known among the older students who have been through your doors and have their own bad experiences. They do nothing about it as they feel helpless in the way you trap them. It’s very clear that Asset Living as a corporation has zero ethics and is driven by extracting unfair extravagant fees from students. I gave your company the chance to bring this to a reasonable ending by offering a lower fee that would be equitable for both sides, and you refused."
