"I wanted to express my sincere gratitude to the maintenance department here at Carlton Arms of Ocala. In particular, I’d like to mention Rich and Rafael. I’ve never lived in a place where the maintenance staff was so attentive to detail and timely. Whoever is in charge of the maintenance staff should be extremely proud of their team. Thank you for your hard work and dedication and for ensuring that, we, the residence receive excellent service. - Mr. Golden"
"Reputable property, they have locations all over. I've lived in one before in a different city and they are always nice. The rent is affordable which I can appreciate because you're not getting that ANYWHERE else. HOWEVER, I was shocked that upon move in certain things were not addressed before I entered the unit. The maintenance is nice and everything but there is such a mess left behind after service. It drives me bananas. Six or seven service requests within two weeks of move in is concerning to me. I could be the wrong one but...I would think everything should have been inspected before a new tenant occupies the space. Leaking toilet, clogged bathtub, leaking fridge and ROACHES. That being said, this is not the only complex that has this issue. I'm not sure what is happening with these properties and their pests issues in Ocala. Pest control is advertised but the pests are not being controlled. It's concerning to me because I can't deal. It makes me quite uncomfortable. Outside of this initial disappointment, the apartment is awesome. It was clean and the aesthetics were obviously a priority. The coffee up front was great. I was offered a cup on move in day when I collected my keys. Parking has been great. I just can't deal with the roach thing."
"Old, very overpriced units. Units do not come with ceiling fans equipped, to receive that "luxury" you will be required to pay more in rent each month. Ridiculous! Parking is a joke. Visitors are supposed to park in the overflow areas yet they do not. So be prepared to come home from work and not find a spot to park at in front of the unit which you overpay for. This has been "being taken care of" for over three years now, per Laura, the manager. Last July the bathroom located at the pool by the office was being worked on, instead of closing the bathroom, the manager shut down all access to the pool. Makes no sense, especially for the amount of residents who live here. Very inconvenient! Maintenance and the people at the gate are mostly friendly and get issues taken care of quickly. Compare to the rude office staff they are a breath of fresh air. One huge issue is how the front gate only has ONE driving lane open. That makes traffic back up constantly as people who live here have to wait while visitors receive their pass. I would never advise any decent family to rent here. And I will always tell people to steer far from this property. Management needs a HUGE upgrade as well as the units and policies!"
"While visiting from Traverse City, Michigan and having someone that lives here, I went to visit and am actually considering moving here after this visit. The places are of high quality, spacious and reasonable in price even. It's very nice all around and it's even got a guard in the entry area which gives it a nice high end feel. Along with the pool, and all the other things this place offers."
