"Hotel has some of the best staff I’ve encountered in a long time. The manager Chandal is wonderful. Had a problem & she did everything possible to fix it. She accommodated everything I needed my whole stay. Went above and beyond every step of the way. Very good breakfast. Polite workers that take their job seriously. Lovely hotel."

I've stayed at other Avid hotels in the IHC chain and thought they were excellent. This one is not."

"We stayed there on the weekend when there were lots of events in Ocala. Hotel prices were going crazy and Avid is the only decent hotel with reasonable price. We were surprised actually because the hotel is new, clean, service was good, staff were friendly, location is perfect and safe. We were happy and it was a good stay."

"The hotel was very nice and clean. The rooms still have the new furniture smell that I prefer over any other smell. Their beds are awesome! Super comfy and had the best night sleep. Stayed only one night. The rooms have vinyl floors which we really liked because it doesn’t attract any bad odor. The walls a little bit thin but the front desk provides earplugs which we were very happy about. The location is fine, just a little bit of a drive from the highway but for us worth the extra 7 minutes to sleep soundly at a quiet location. I definitely recommend this hotel. I will book it again in the future."

"I've lived just over an hour from Ocala my whole life, but I can't remember the last time I was in downtown Ocala. So when I was heading there for business, I looked for a place that was convenient, not too expensive, and had good reviews. As a woman traveling alone it is important to feel safe and comfortable. I had never heard of Avid, but decided to give it a try. It was great! Located on a busy intersection, it can be tricky to get in and out of until you figure out the side roads. The one complaint I read more than once was the most from the traffic. I thought someone was joking about ear plugs in the room, but sure enough there were 2 pairs on the nightstand! But I didn't need them, I didn't find the noise a problem at all. The hotel is trendy and boutique-ish. The rooms are very small, but make up for it by using European tricks for taking best advantage of every inch. Might be too small for a larger family ora long term stay, but it's perfect for one or two people for a couple of days. The beds were extremely comfortable! It takes a lot for me to say that, I usually hate hotel beds, but these felt luxurious. The shower (no bathtub, but that was fine with me) actually had a ledge for your foot for leg shaving!!! Extra stars for that! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The grab & go breakfast was adequate. It's a small hotel so wherever you parked was convenient. I spent 2 nights there. I worried long, hard days and I was so grateful to have such a clean, comfortable place to go back to. I would definitely stay there again."
