Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Ocala, FL

"Travelling back from Florida and due to bad weather decided to exit off 75 and find a hotel. Let me take responsibility for not reading reviews. The exterior of this hotel looked great and we decided to book from the gas station next door. Check in and lobby area were ok however once we rounded the corner to the elevator all went downhill. The carpet was dirty, the elevator smelled awful but I told my husband ok it is just for one night. When we entered the room, the foul smell lingered but the 2 worst part of this was the bed; never in my life have I seen such lumpy, worn looking bed in a hotel. The pillows were just as lumpy; the bath tub had a mat in the bottom but you could see rust & a light red stain underneath. Suffice it to say we quickly checked out and the receptionist said "matter of factly" he was sorry. (OF COURSE WE LOST THAT MONEY) and luckily found a holiday inn express within half a mile. NEVER AGAIN!! I WOULD SLEEP IN MY CAR BEFORE STAYING AT ANOTHER OF THEIR HOTELS."

"Decided to get a room at 1:00 a.m. and there was no available parking whatsoever and attempted to park in the BP gas station next to the hotel where the sheriff advised me you park at your own risk. Spoke with the receptionist at the desk who told me I had to talk to the general manager .Gave them a call this morning where a young lady told me there is plenty of parking I came in at 6:00 am and noted I said I was there at 1:00 a.m. Common sense would say why would I pay for a room and then sit in my car all night. It seems that the two young ladies I spoke to did not know anything related to the parking lot, other than " I'm sorry I can't help you" "there's available parking now at 9:40 a.m.". Will not suggest or visit this location."

"We checked in for 3 days in a row. The first two days we were in one room on the 4th floor. The room was good the beds were comfortable I slept real good. On the third day if you checked out and then checked back in and wound up staying on the third floor. The original room we had on the third floor of the AC wasn't working very well but the night clerks Angela Goddard and Lucinda day moved us to another room what was freaking amazing and I was able to get a good night's sleep. But I'd like to give a shout out to the breakfast lady. The breakfast here was phenomenal. It's better than most of the hotels that are around here in ocala. Overall I would stay here again. I highly suggest this hotel. The staff is great the rooms are comfortable and we had no problems whatsoever"

"Absolutely no where safe to walk or potty our dog. The only area was an incredibly small area directly in front of the hotel next to a 6 lane road. It was filled with pieces of garbage and dog waste. It was disgusting. The hotel shares space with a gas station that had some individuals hanging around late at night. I did not feel safe at this hotel after dark. Then I had a terrible experience with the breakfast lady who was rude and nasty to me. It was 2 mins until 6am. All the food was out so I started to get my plate. She immediately started yelling at me that it was not 6am. I chose to sit and wait 2 more mins and even then she decided to take chairs and block off the entrance so no one could come in and eat. Not my problem that she was not on time and ready. It was no excuse to make me or anyone else late who did have a time schedule to follow. I attempted to explain this to her but only got yelled at again. I then went to the manager on duty and explained what was happening and nothing was done. I ended up going somewhere to buy my breakfast. So much for free breakfast included in my stay. Needless to say I checked out and left the hotel to stay at an incredible hotel with absolutely no complaints, wonderful staff, and even extended my stay there. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone with a pet or children due to outside safety issues or to anyone with early morning commitments and needing to eat on time. When I received my text message asking how my stay was going so far I explained the issues. I still have never heard back from anyone which is why I am now posting this review."
