Holiday Inn Orlando International Dr-Icon, an IHG Hotel

"I stayed here five days with my son for a flag football tournament, and we had a really positive experience. The whole staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, and even the food was excellent. Plus, the hotel is in a great location right in the middle of Icon Park. Lots to do there, good places to eat, and easy access to all of the main roads. Would highly recommend!"

"Had a 3-night stay while attending a small conference. Front desk was able to provide a light blanket, giving me the perfect sleeping temperature. The standard comforter was too warm for me. Much appreciated the lighter weight blanket."

"While the location is nice, I could never recommend the adjoining rooms here if you're not actually adjoined (and maybe ever if you are). I could hear every single thing and as a solo female traveler, when a group of boys came into their room at 1am and started fighting/wrestling, it's probably the least safe I have felt in any hotel. There is no sound barrier between the adjoining rooms at all. You can hear every conversation, the TV, when people move, etc. At worst, it deprives you of quality sleep and is traumatizing to wake up to people fighting sounding like they're in your bedroom at 1am in the morning, at best it's uncomfortable. I did call down to the desk and they did send security up to try to quiet them down, and I did appreciate that but then the other adjoining room woke up at 5:30am and so it was a very short, interrupted night of sleep unfortunately (and I've stayed at Holiday Inns the last 15 years) and this is not the typical experience. I also asked to move rooms the first night because I could hear everything and they said it was the only room in the hotel (very unfortunate). My takeaway: I'll always, always ask if it's an adjoining room before ever staying at a Holiday Inn again. I thought the location was great, but all things considered, I may have stayed farther out if I knew that was going to be my experience."

"I was here for more than a few days recently and had several issues while staying here. I will detail them all for you but will start with the positive: The LOCATION: If you want to be within walking distance of many restaurant and night life activities on I-drive then the location is ripe fruit for you. Also, if you need to dry your clothes I found that the machine did not charge ($ 3.50 for wash, however). This concludes the positives for me, though. CONS: Service was non-existent for me during the breakfast buffet in which you even served yourself your own beverages. There was no cream for the coffee and for some reason they put a bunch of ice in the oversized pitcher of orange juice (or orange beverage); it was quite watered down. No employee came to my table at all to see if there was anything I needed. The food was all average and the potatoes were fried. Next, I will speak about the rooms and housekeeping staff. The rooms all have faux hardwood so you hear everything from the room next door to the rooms above you. Also, there was a constant rolling sound of something rolling around for days. Housekeeping would enter my room repeatedly, even though I had Do Not Disturb flyer on the door. Housekeeping staff would come in to tidy up, removing used towels, and replacing them; throwing away an empty retail bag. i found lots of long dark hair inside one of the clean replacement towels. The shuttle service was extremely difficult to use, so much so I simply ended up using the Lynx (city) buses to get to Seaworld. If you plan on using the shuttle know that you are told that you must schedule your ride two hours in advance."

"We enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and we had free coffee in the room and normal amenities. The breakfast buffet was good too and had all the usual basic breakfast items with a good price. The staff and bartender were nice and friendly. The location is great and is within walking distance from Icon park and lots of restaurants and shops. We didn’t pay much for the room so I was surprised by how clean and nice our room was. I’ll stay here again next time I’m in Orlando!"
