"UPDATE pool was re-coated one year ago and looks beautiful and has stood up to the test of time. UPDATE: Posted same review to Face Book and got an immediate response that Barrier Reef Corporate would respond..........crickets. Be very aware before you make decision to pay premium price for an inferior product. First of all let me say that all of the local guys I have dealt with have been great dealing with the multiple problems I have experienced with this project. At this point all problems have been resolved involving installation to the best of my knowledge. Project installation commenced on February 14. 2020. Pool was finally 100% completed in April 2020. The issue I am having that has been ignored by Barrier Reef in Pensacola and at Corporate level is the discoloration of the Gel Coat (as seen in attached pictures). Despite providing pictures to corporate customer service (Tammy) on November 17, 2020 there has been no contact what so ever from them. I also provide history of water chemistry history from local pool supply. Be aware that despite their claim to warranty the fiberglass and Gel coat you are taking a risk with this manufacturer. (FROM THE BARRIER REEF WARRANTY: Barrier Reef Pools finish coat or gelcoat is warranted against blistering for a total of 15 years. This Warranty excludes discoloration, staining, fading, hairline cracks, surface yellowing or roughness after manufacture, where the cause is algae infestation, calcium scale or other mineral or vegetation deposits or faults arising from misuse or abuse of the surface or the maintenance of incorrect water balances.) 3/2/2021 Barrier Reef sent a team to resurface pool shell, before and after pictures. Happy with the recoat. Hopefully all pool system discrepancies have been repaired. The question any potential pool buyer should ask one self is the investment worth the aggravation? Only you can answer that question. For me no. I would rather have a Corvette, 5/04/2021 UPDATE I have given pool re-coat 60 days and so far so good. A total make over of a back yard is complicated and in my case there were a lot of moving parts. John Bullard along with James and Roy did an outstanding job as project Manager. A Turn-Key project. He coordinated all sub contractors that included; 1. Privacy fence removal and re-installation 2. Electrical 3. Lawn sprinkler re-location 4. Concrete installation that included three additional concrete pads 5. Stone mason to install water Fall 6. Screen Enclosure As with any construction project there was a "punch list". I want to emphasize, that despite some expensive items on punch list there was never an attempt to by John or Barrier Reef to ask for additional funds to make repairs and to stand behind their product. Hopefully, if you have taken the time to read this rather lengthy review you will consider Barrier Reef in Pensacola to install a pool."
