Beacon South Beach Hotel

"We staid for 5 days before our cruise. Since this was our first time in Miami we decided we want to be at south beach and ocean drive because of the post card flair. So we expected things to be a bit more pricey and less luxurious than elsewhere. The hotel is right in the middle of all the beautiful art deco hotels on ocean drive. Our room was ok, bathroom a bit small, but it served the needs. I did not have the impression that the maids cleaned every day and also didn’t make any beds as I’m used to from most hotels, but it wasn’t unclean and bins had been empty regularly, so ok. The staff and front desk was very friendly and helpful all the time. One lady recommended us the free beach chairs and towels, and the free bikes rental. We used it all to our satisfaction. The breakfast was decent and good. Only one evening we haven’t been so satisfied with the dinner we ordered for four persons. While the steak and pasta had been fine, two of us ordered salads and we felt it was bad and nearly kind of a joke. 30 dollars plus all the additional fees for 4 thin tomato slices and mozzarella and my Caesar salad tasted like unprepared salad from the freezer package, sorry, we didn’t like this at all. Next time I will go with the steak I guess. Other than that tiny event, we really enjoyed our stay and then perfect location. The beach is right opposite, you can go jogging, biking, and in the evening stroll and party on oceans drive."

"Amazing food & service! Will certainly be back. Also great prices. Very Very Attentive Staff. Agostina was my server and she was amazing. I had the wings for an appetizer and pesto pasta. The cherry tomatoes were very fresh! Just a great experience all the way around! Oh and amazing cocktails."

"We didn’t stay at this hotel but had the pleasure of dining here. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable! A lost art these days I feel. Daniel went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for myself and my family! We entered the lobby of the hotel and it was so clean and inviting- definitely staying here next time!"

"Great location. Wonderful service from front desk and housekeeping. So many hotels opt out of daily room cleanings, but not this hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They have updated to the best extent possible ( keeping in mind it’s historic so they are limited to minor improvements) and I’m willing to trade the glitz for the overall experience and perfect location. My first time here and I plan on coming back!"

"Beacon South Beach hotel is in a great location. It's next to the beach, restaurants, and tourist shops. The CVS next door made it easy to get water or anything we forgot to pack. The hotel provides chairs and towels for the beach. We used them a couple times and it was quite convenient. Service was good for the most part. The maids, bellhops, and some of the desk staff are great. One in particular was rude to guests, not just us. However, we tried not to let it ruin our stay. Our room had an individual AC unit and fan that kept us cool. It was great to come back to our room after a hot day at the beach or walking around. Please note there's not a lot of space to hang clothes but we were able to manage. There was no bar but it looks like it's under construction. The lobby restrooms are also out of service which is difficult if your flight is later than checkout and you need to freshen up. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again."
